Mal's POV

*couple days later*

I fidgeted with my charm bracelet nervously as we waited in front of the door. Draco noticed and took my hand, interlacing my fingers with his.

"They'll love you, relax." He tried to ease my nerves.

"Do they even know you're bringing me along? What if they think they're going to have their son to themselves and then I show up and they're disappointed and I get off on a bad start and—" He tugged at my hand.

"Baby, you're rambling." He gave me a crooked smile.

"Sorry." I blushed and looked down to play with his hand.

"It's cute, but you have nothing to be nervous about." He reassured me again.

"Yeah, right." I scoffed.

"Worst case scenario, they'll learn to love you." He kissed my forehead and I smiled. Suddenly the door opened and I saw someone with dark black and silver hair, probably his mother, greet us. She's really pretty.

"Hi Draco, I've missed you." She hugged her son.

"I've missed you too mother. And this is—"

"Malorie." She smiled as she said my name. She came up and hugged me tightly, "I'm Draco's mother, Narcissa Malfoy. He has told me so much about you."

"Don't believe everything he says." I teased.

"And she's got a sense of humor? Maybe that'll teach you to lighten up." She smacked his arm playfully.

Draco shook his head but smiled at his mother. Huh, so they have a much better relationship than he does with his dad. Interesting.

"Let's go." Draco took my hand and we followed Mrs. Malfoy to the dining room. Wow. This place is big. And dark. I realized I had never really seen Malfoy Manor, only Draco's room, and that was two years ago.

I wonder if it looks different, maybe we could go up...? No. Nope. God, Draco has corrupted me.

"Lucious, we have company." Mrs. Malfoy said as we approached the dining hall. A tall, platinum haired man got up from a seat on the table. This has got to be his father. Draco looks so much like him. But much better, of course.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Malfoy." I extended my hand to shake his and he just stared at it, I awkwardly put it down and Draco shifted to be closer to me.

"Who is this?" Draco's father asked.

"Father, this is Ka— Mal, my girlfriend." Draco introduced me.

"Mal? Odd." He said bluntly.

Rude.

"It's short for Malorie, Lucious." Mrs. Malfoy stepped in.

"Yes I figured as much." Mr. Malfoy sighed as if bored already and turned to me, "What is your full name child?"

"Malorie. Malorie Granger." I braced myself for the negative reaction I knew my last name was bound to cause.

"Granger?" He took a small step forward, "any relation to the girl with big hair? The one with muggle parents?" Here we go.

"Yes. That's my sister." I gripped onto Draco's hand more tightly as I watched his father's eyes widen with disgust.
