Rufus' pov

I sat on the couch in Sting and Rogue's house, listening to the two talking somewhere in the house. I looked at my arm. It looked perfectly fine but I could feel the pain. I touched it and quickly retracted my hand. That guy was strong. Strong enough to do this kind of damage with his bare hands. I placed a hand on my head. It wasn't anything to worry about, like Rogue said. It was just someone who wanted to kill  Sabertooth mage and probably get some recognition for it. It could have happened to anyone. So why did I feel on edge. I looked up, staring at the open window. The curtains blew about due to the wind that entered the room.
"What ya staring at?" I jump, pressing up against the couch. I turn. Sting is stood at the arm, tilting his head at me.
"Nothing, just thinking is all" I reply, placing a hand against my head. It would be so much easier to think about anything with the beating that was hitting my head. The couch dips and I see that Rogue has sat down with a first aid kit. He takes my arm which makes me wince. Sting dumps himself in the armchair with a sigh.
"If we have to deal with dark guild mages coming after members of the guild then that's going to make my job just that much harder" he groans. He then looks at me when I quirk an eyebrow.
"I'm not blaming you for being attacked. I blame that guy. Can't even make a proper report because I didn't even see his face" he adds on.
"Dark guilds might be getting more confident to attack. If that's the case then we should warn other guilds in case their members are attacked" Rogue explains, using one of the small magic tests to examine the state of my arm. His brows knit together when he looks at it.
"What?" I ask.
"What exactly did he do to your arm?" he asks, looking up to face me.
"This one was just pulled on a lot. My guess is it was broken"
"It's more than just broken" I look at him, not sure whether I want to know what has him so worried.
"Then what?"
"The muscle has been torn on the inside"
"How? There's no way that he pulled hard enough to tear through muscle. That isn't humanly possible without magic"
"Which is why I'm so shocked. I didn't sense any magical presence coming from him" he explained, looking at me.
"I'll see if I can get in contact with Fairy tail, maybe they can send Wendy and their healer over or we can take you to them but until then you're off active duty. With your a boutched like that, you ould struggle in the field" Sting explains, pushing himself onto his feet and walking towards the lacrima in the hall. I say nothing, staring back at the window. Who even was that and was it really just a coincidence that I see that guy the day after that wierd hallucination I'd seen that morning. I dropped my gaze. It was nothing. My arm would be healed in a few days and then everything would be back to normal again. Rogue wrapped it up in gauze and made a sling for it so it wouldn't be hurt more from movement.
"How's your head?"
"Sore. Its hard to think through the headache" I sigh. I feel him dab something against my head.
"The guild is going to be asking so many questions when you show up with your arm in a sling" he explains, looking at the cotton ball now stained with blood.
"Yeah" I sigh. I really didn't have the energy right now. I felt ready to fall asleep, especially after getting little sleep last night.
"You can rest here for the night. Safer to be with someone than be alone" Rogue assured. I nod, leaning back into the couch. I just can't wait for this to be behind me.
