Y/N's POV:
I groggily opened my eyes as I woke up from my slumber, the light of day beamed down on my face, but I still managed to examine my surroundings with my eyes, only to find myself laying in a bed inside of a bedroom that was different from my own. However, what surprised me even more was when I found Elena sleeping beside me in bed "What the!?" I yelled, I moved back away from her, but upon doing so, I fell off of the bed, and on to the floor with a loud thud
"Ow..." I said, Elena suddenly woke up from her sleep as she sat up while rubbing her eyes in tiredness "Hm?, what's with the noise?" Elena asked, she turned her attention to me, and smiled a little "Oh, good morning" Elena said "Um, good morning..." I said, I was slightly confused about what was going on, but the memory of what happened last night immediately hit me, I sighed and rubbed my head
"Last night was odd, wouldn't you agree?" I asked "From your point of view I can see that, but this thing is normal, everyone is used to it by now" Elena replied
"Wait, but there weren't any males here before, what were the procedures then?" I asked "Well, Y/N, before you arrived, Nascha and Wanda were in charge of making sure that nobody left the apartment building on the night of a full moon under no circumstances, everyone either goes to bed early, control themselves responsibly, or get put under a sleeping spell if they become too riled up" Elena explained
"Why on the night of a full moon though?, what is it like a switch in everyone's brains or something?" I asked "Sort of, full moon nights awaken the carnal lust that lays dormant within every monster, it makes us frisky, aggressive, persistent, and unable to control our strength" Elena replied, the memory of what happened between Sue and Sakura and Jing soon hit me, the memory of Sakura knocking out Sue by cracking her bo staff over Sue's head, then Jing who hit the floor with her staff so hard that she left a crack in it instead of the staff
'They can't control themselves, they can't help it...' I was starting to feel bad for the other residents, I could only imagine how they must feel when they can't stop their instincts, but this feeling of empathy soon left me as a feeling of confusion and concern came across me as I noticed Elena's right forearm completely covered in bandages "Hey, what happened to your arm?" I asked pointing to Elena's bandaged area, she looked down at her arm
"It's nothing to worry about, forget it" She said "That wasn't there the night before, did you hurt yourself?" I asked "I'm fine, don't worry about me" Elena replied putting on smile to reassure me, I frowned at her, and sighed "Let me guess, you had another urge to suck my blood, right?" I asked, Elena's eyes suddenly widened as a shocked expression came across her face "H-How did you know?" She asked "Because, I can tell that you're that type of person, Elena, you had a thirst for blood, but you used yourself to quench your thirst for blood instead of the nearest human in front of you" I replied
"Person?, I'm a dhampir, remember?" Elena asked "Yes, but you're not just some savage, mindless, belligerent monster either, none of you are" I replied "I appreciate how you view us so positively, but you should still keep in mind that we are dangerous and unpredictable" Elena said "I know, but you should know this, it's not the looks or genetics that makes someone a monster, it's their actions" I said, Elena seemed to have been caught off guard by what I said as her jaw dropped in disbelief
Elena soon looked away from me, this time with a depressed look "What's wrong?" I asked "Nothing, it's just that you sound like someone that I used to know..." She replied "Really?, who?" I asked, Elena didn't reply after my question, instead she continued to look away from me as she looked to be deep in thought, I tried to reach my hand out to her, however, Elena suddenly went up into a puff of smoke, followed by her turning into a little, brown bat that quickly flew out of the open window
