It was another day in Liyue harbor. Just the peaceful sound of the waves crashing and bustling buyers in the streets. Nothing was out of the ordinary.

Meanwhile you, a traveler from Mondstadt had just arrived at the gates of Liyue harbor with a commissioned task from someone in the adventurers guild ; To retrieve a package from one of the merchants.

Problem is, she didn't mention which merchant has the package, nor did you have the braincells at the time to ask.

Tired from your long travel, you decided to stop by Wanmin. Your friend, Xiangling told you that you can stop by anytime. It was in return for the help you gave her a while back.

It didn't take to long to find her restaurant. It was packed full with people, just as you'd expected. Though you did feel bad about having a free pass in, food is food and nothing can get in the way between.

"Y/n, you're here!" Xiangling screamed at the sight of you. A few head's turned, making the blood rush up to my face. Her and her loud voice-

Skipping anymore formalities, she dragged you to a more spacious part of the restaurant, sitting you on a single chaired table beside the window.

"Wait here, I've got something new made and you have to try it!" She beamed, rushing towards the kitchen in a flash before you could say anything else.

You couldn't help but chuckle. Her energetic self and enthusiasm for cooking really makes you happy yourself. Being around her makes you feel energized, no matter how tired you were before.

"Here you go, spicy stew with a hint of berries and lizard tails."

You were about to bring that spoon in your mouth, but that last word made you stop. "Lizard tails?" You repeated. It's not unusual for her to mix something like that in her cooking, but eating it while knowing it's in there - even if it's good - made you feel some type of way.

"Do, do you not like it?" Her smile faded. It was as if a hilichurl just went and dropped a large boulder on my our head.

You panicked, shoving the spoon into your mouth. "No, no, I like it! It's super good, see?" You weren't lying, it was extremely delicious - as expected.

Her eyes lit up again. It was unusual of her to be so nervous about it. Usually she would just start making a new dish.

"I'm glad you do!" She exclaimed.

Xiangling pulled a chair opposite of me, giving me a long stare. "Is something the matter?" You asked. You didn't mind having her eyes on you, but she was acting nervous, making you feel worried.

"I made it with you in mind." She abruptly said, "because- when you said you liked stew back in the forest, I couldn't help but make one for you."

Xiangling gazes down to her feet. It was a confession of some sort, but you'll take it. "That's- sweet of you. Thank you. I really appreciate it."

Her face started to turn into a full on volcano, mumbling and stuttering about words you can't even decipher. You were sure she was speaking in a whole other language entirely.

"Am I allowed to come again?" You asked, stopping her from train of incoherent stammering. "Of course! Of course you are!" She grabbed your hand, pulling you towards her slightly. "I'll- I'll make you new dishes too!"

You chuckled, she really is adorable. "I will definitely come back."
