THE CLOUDS WERE DARK , the sun hiding behind them. The wind blew hard against the earth. Little droplets of water were starting to fall from the sky right onto Rya and Noah's noses.
"A storm is coming" Said Noah while staring up at the sky with a frown on his face. Rya grins at him. He turns to her with a questioning look in his eyes.
"Why are you so happy Ry? We're going to be drenched"
"I love the rain. It's so beautiful. And don't get me started on thunders, they're a different kind of beauty. I can't understand why so many people are afraid of them. " Noah snorts at that. "If they strike you, you're dead. And they're so unpredictable, you never know where they're going to hit. That's why Rya." He stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
When the rain started to come out stronger and more agitated, she stopped him as her grin grew wider. She tilted her head back delicately to the sky and threw her hands up. This feeling, being so content in a moment was a feeling that she never wanted to let go of. It made her feel warm on the inside and she couldn't help but laugh out loud because of how happy she seemed to be.
Noah looked at her, mesmerized. She looked so beautiful, it was hard to believe that such a wonderful human being existed. His heart thundered in his chest at the sight and he quickly got his phone out and took a picture of her to commemorate this expression of pure joy on her face.
She looked back to him when she heard the sound of a picture being taken. "Hey! Why'd you take a picture of me."
He simply shrugged and offered her his hand. Rya looked at him with her eyebrows creased together in amusement, a small smile dancing on her lips, her heart sped up, knowing what he was doing.
"You realise how cliché that is right?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, though I seem to remember you telling me that you lived for clichés. So I'm giving it to you. Just accept it." When she still didn't take his hand in hers, he added "Go on, don't be shy Ry." He grinned cheekily at her and she scoffed at his words pure amusement shinning in her eyes.
And so, she accepted his offer and they danced in the rain, in the middle of the street not caring for the people that looked at them weirdly or in admiration. Not caring for the cameras that were pointed at them. People always love to capture the beauty of the moments, this is exactly what this moment was, them, in the rain, dancing as if no one was watching, was utterly beautiful.
They danced and danced for what seemed like hours. They danced stupidly as neitheir of them knew how to but they simply did not care. And When they were finally done, they were soaking wet and the rain had calmed down a bit. Rya was sure that she would get sick after that, but it was worth it in her opinion.
