Chapter 9

Chapter 9: Naruto vs Deidara

Sasori glared at his very opponents, although he was surprised to see his very own grandmother there before him, he did not let that faze him. "If you plan to oppose me, then I've no choice..." Sasori grumbled.

His robe was torn and ripped as his puppet had ripped it apart, revealing it. "Why don't you and that child join my collection, eh, grandma Chiyo." Sasori asked.

Wh-What is that? Sasuke asked.

"Do not be fooled, you two." Chiyo spoke up. "That is not Sasori's real body, it is a puppet."

"A puppet? Seriously?" Sasuke asked almost in disbelief.

"Yes." Chiyo confirmed.

Sasuke pulled out his kunai and readied himself for an attack from the ex-Sunagakure Shinobi. Without even batting an eye Sasori's tail shot towards him at great speed. Unable to counter the attack Sasuke dived to the side, dodging the tail.

"Sasuke!" Sakura yelled and jumped, her fist colliding with the tail that had raced back towards Sasuke who had just gotten up.

The tail immediately dodged the attack and retreated back to Sasori's side. "Thanks Sakura." Sasuke said. The pinkette who landed next to him merely nodded and focused on their opponent.

"I can tell it's not his real body... but where is his real body then?" Sakura asked.

"Don't puppeteers control them using threads from behind, kinda like Kankuro?" Sasuke asked facing the old lady beside him.

"His real body is on the inside." Chiyo answered almost instantly. "Puppeteers are open when controlling their puppets so that puppet covers that weakness."

"So then, it is armour as well as a weapon?" Sasuke asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yes." Chiyo answered. "It is Sasori's favourite puppet, Hiruko. I know it well."

"Alright, I think I've got a good grasp of the situation." Sasuke said raising his kunai. "Sakura, you think you'll be able to break that with what Tsunade gifted you?"

Sakura looked at the Uchiha and nodded, "yes I'm sure I'll be able to." She said.

"There is also something you need to be aware of." Chiyo spoke up. "There are senbon needles he fires coated with a deadly poison. One scratch and it'll be fatal."

The group whispered to each other, strategizing a plan. A simple plan to break through the armour of Sasori's favourite puppet. "Ok! Let's give this a shot!" Sakura said slamming her fist against her hand.

The three of them charged simultaneously. "Finally done talking?" Sasori asked, ripping the cloth that covered his mouth. The mouth of his puppet opened its mouth and immediately fired needles coated with the poison.

The three of them dodged the needles with ease. Sasori threw the hand of his puppet towards Sakura. "Die!!" Sasori growled as the hand was split apart, its parts flying towards each direction at high speed.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!!" Sasuke spewed out fired towards the bits with Sakura and Chiyo jumping out of the way.

Once the fire had dispersed only smoke replaced the field. Sasori looked left and right, staying alert. Suddenly Sakura ran through the smoke, her fist raised.

Sasori immediately sensed her presence and shifted the tail of his puppet towards Sakura. The tail suddenly came to a halt, enraging Sasori. That damn old hag!! He growled.

"Now Sakura!" Sasuke yelled. "Break through!"

Sakura's fist hit Sasori's puppet with great force making it crack and break into several pieces.
