Trigger warning - FLUFF AND FLIRTING

The next few days were blunt, wildly abrasive and somewhat quiet as Lauren maintained her distance from anyone she could sitting in her own stubborn mood while Camila maintained her high standards of being socially cold.. it was a tasteless mixture that neither enjoyed however with Dinah figuring out the mystery behind the jock faced ex it was only evident a talk was soon upon the horizon

The clock struck 7 and within minutes the floor had emptied leaving only the familiar three roaming the space, Lauren however clung to Sam's side as he continued on the silky garment she hadn't yet been informed was meant for her while Camila strut back into her office after a day filled with pointless meetings

Her eyes flit over her desk amongst other things before quickly forcing a double take noticing a white file sat neatly under her keyboard, she sat down gently pulling the paper to examine the words written across the front detailing a short but direct 'ex boyfriend'

She opened up the front cover reading over a few pointless details before her eyes drew over the red highlighted list of what seemed to be police charges.. her heart almost broke into two as the 16 assault and domestic abuse allegations sank into her mind realising very quickly Lauren had dramatically downplayed just how 'not nice' this guy seemed to be..

She gulp back closing over the page with a moment of reflection hating herself for the wild thoughts running through her mind as she finally stood to open her door leaning half way out of the frame to look on at her runners beaming smile laughing with Sam across the room

"Can I steal her from you?"

She ask out immediately seeing the girls smile drop dramatically before reluctantly pulling herself from the chair taking a slow walk over into the office feeling immensely awkward after not speaking with the woman for a few days prior

Camila sat back against the desk perched as the elder filter in standing with a hostile stance motioning for a conversation so that she could leave as quickly as possible

"I um.. I just wanted to say I'm sorry.. for what I said to you the other day.."

She began as the glistening emerald orbs observe the entirety of the seemingly nervous woman's stature, she'd never seen her nervous before but the constant drumming of her fingertips against her thighs and wondering pooling orbs gave her every suspicion that this wasn't at all something she was familiar with

"That coming out thing.. I didn't mean it.. I was just angry because you were angry and I couldn't figure out why.."

She trailed off realising how dumb she sounded after the pretty heartless comment she had made..

"I wasn't angry about that.. I mean I was because that was a bitch move but.. that's not what it was about"

Lauren sighed firmly putting the younger in her place as she step back to take a seat on the couch behind her, there wasn't a tension in the room however like there had been before, it seemed both girls had calmed from their motives and finally let go of the angst that sat heavy on their shoulders for days

"Well either way it was a low blow and I'm sorry.. I know how hard that stuff is and as heartless as I know you think I am.. I'd never stand happy watching you get outed like that.."

"I don't think you're heartless.. I know you just don't know how to use your heart, which is cool because neither do I.."

She admit coldly turning her eyes down into her lap immediately pulling an aching throb aside the younger girls heart as her fingertips trail along the white file beside her.. she wanted to ask, just to know! But her mind refused to pull together a sentence to do so..
