Love can twist the heart,
So neatly into painful pieces;
With a simple "Hello,
I hope you're well."
from someone who shattered it into pieces.Even after healing,
The voice twists,
The tears bring on the tears,
And the patchwork frays,
As a well of emotion,
Brims from the hopes you once had.Flecks and pieces,
Scattered on the floor,
And for a moment,
Just a moment,
Hello hurt more than goodbye.Time to suck it up,
Time to pick it up,
Time to stick the needle in,
Sew it back up, Sew it back up.
Put this away,
Because you're living in another,
With another,
For another,
Hello.Copyright (c) 2020
