"This is a two bedroom two bathroom condo and it goes for about twenty five hundred a month " the lady showing me the condo explains . I cringe at the price and sigh knowing I can't afford it now that I'm unemployed
"And just to let you know this place is on high demand" she says then walks off . I roll my eyes and shake my head .
I walk into the kitchen ,sliding my hand across the marble counter imagining how it would feel to cook in this kitchen . Damn! It would be nice to live here . Decorating the rooms how I want , throwing a house warming party , game nights , just fun . Real fun .
My phone starts to ring snapping me out of my thoughts . I look at the screen a see the name Spawn of Satan pop up .
"What dayvon ? " I answer
"Where you at ? " he asks
"Looking at this condo "
"What you doing dat fo ? " he asks .
"Boy get off my phone "
"Wait Ken you gotta come home now it's an emergency " he says frantically. I roll my eyes at his bad acting then smile
"Okay Von damn I'm on the way " I say .
"Okay good drive safe " he says quickly then hangs up .
I smile at the phone then shake my head putting it away . Not even three seconds later my phone starts ringing again .
"What ? " I groan
"Girl nobody ever taught you some manners ? That's not how you answer the phone " Von says
"Says the person who answers the phone like 'talk to me ' FYI if they called you then I'm pretty sure they plan on talking to you "
"Kiss my ass " he says and I laugh "I was gone tell you I need you to bring home some lemonade "
"What kind of emergency requires lemonade ?" I ask and he starts to stutter
"Uhm the dry kind " he says .
"Goodbye Von "I laugh then hang up .
He is a damn clown . I walk out the condo and go down to my car . Leaving the building was very hard. I get attached to things so fast and out of the three places I looked at this one feels right . I hated that I imagine big things before they even happen . It sets me up for so many let downs .
