The Avengers, Steve's Little Secret

Ch. 15 "Like it here"

                                                      Steve POV 

We finally land and I see Brooke is asleep in Bucky's lap, I smiled at the sight, I look at the clock it is past midnight, 

She must have been exhausted especially from all the excitement, 

I stood up and went to pick her up, 

"It's alright Steve I got her," Bucky said 

I hesitated but nodded, all these people around Brooke it's going to take some getting used to and learn to share her I guess, 

Her head laid on Bucky's shoulder as on hand clutched on her Iron Man toy and the other well her thumb was in her mouth, 

I have been trying to break her of that habit but everyone I talk to says they stop that on their own, 

"Have to admit cap, she sure is adorable when she's asleep," Tony said 

I smirked 

"Was that a compliment from the great Tony Stark?" I asked 

He rolled his eyes, 

"Should I prepare a room for her?" He asked 

"No, I am going to take her in my room where ever that is," I said looking at him 

"Oh right, it's right across the hall from Bucky," He said 

"I'll show you come on," Bucky said as he carried Brooke

Me and Bucky walked in silence for a bit, 

"You know she's gonna like it here," Bucky said 

I looked at him, I guess my face was telling him I was worried, 

"Yeah, I just didn't want this life for her," I said 

"I know, but It couldn't be helped considering," He said 

"Sigh I know," I said 

"Besides she's grown quite attached to a number of us," Bucky said 

I smirked 

"Including you," I said 

He smirked 

"What can I say the little bunny grows on you," Bucky said 

I shook my head and chuckled 

I can only hope she will be okay, and she's safe here, I thought
