Sana returns home to find Sumitraji and Shini cleaning the shelves of the kitchen. She asks,"Aap log kya kar rahe ho? Is someone coming?" Shini mischievously answers,"Yes. Lakhmiji will visit na. That's why we are cleaning the house." Sana looks at her and with a confused look asks,"Who is Lakhmi? Koi relative hai?" Shini starts to laugh saying,"Yes. Mere masi lagti hai.." Sumitraji says,"Kya ho raha hai Shini? Stop it bacha. Sana bache don't listen to her, mazak kar rahi hai. Diwali is coming, so we need to clean the house before that." Sana's face brightens listening to that. She excitedly says,"Wow! Diwali! I love Diwali. Although I get scared of crackers, yet I love it. Dia jalana, naye kapde, and sweets.." Sumitraji smiles and says,"Sab hoga. Now go and change. We are almost done here. Let's talk over tea."

"We will put on lights too. Right?", asks Sana like a child. Sumitraji replies,"Hain baba. Sid will put on the lights." Shini looks at her and says,"Bhabi you are way to excited for Diwali. Yes it's fun but aap kuch aur hi level ki excited ho!" Sana lowers her head and replies,"Diwali was fun when I was in Punjab with my family. But..after coming to Mumbai, I used to stay inside my room out of fear of crackers. Later there used to be parties that I had to attend bas..Family ke saath celebration ka toh maza alag hi hota hai na..This will be first time in years that I will be celebrating with my family. That's why..I am so excited." Shini realised her mistake, she gets up from the chair and hugs her bhabi,"I am also very excited to be celebrating Diwali with you this year. We will go shopping together. Leh chalogi na?" Sana smiles again and nods her head as Sumitraji caresses her head.

"Bhabi don't touch his shelf. I am telling you. Bhaiya will not like it. See room is clean na, why are you doing it again? Leave the shelf as it is. Please bhabi.", Shini keeps pestering Sana. She is busy cleaning her already spick and span room. Shini knows his brother does not allow anyone touching his shelf full of his journals and books. But who can make Sans understand or stop? She replies,"Arey baba nothing will happen. I know. You go and don't worry. I will put these back when I am done. Haye kitna kaam kiya aaj maine!" Shini giggles,"Bahut kaam kiya apne. Chalo I am leaving. Good night." Sana takes out the journals that Sid had written all these years. She uses a cloth to wipe them and then places them on the table. She finds two diaries at the back, as if hidden from the others.

Sana then starts putting them back on the shelf. The last three diaries left on the desk have drawn her attention. The two that were hidden contain his poetries. Sana goes through them and a smile appears on her face. Every page has words describing his emotions in such beautiful way that she has tears after reading them. She puts them back and holds the one that he uses to write these days. Sana closes her eyes and whispers,"I know we shouldn't read other people's diary but I want to read it. Please please Waheguruji mujhe maaf kardena.." She opens it and turns few pages. On one page he has put the date that marks the day they had met the first time.

He has written how he had felt about her.
"A girl had come to the restaurant today with a guy, her boyfriend. The food was spicy for her and her boyfriend made a scene there. They seem familiar but I didn't recognise them until Amit told me who they were. She was the famous actress Sana Kaur and with her was the actor boyfriend Asim Khan. I don't watch movies so I didn't identify them. But I had seen the posters, banners and ads. I don't know why but I can't get her out of my mind. She looked so innocent like a baby. Her eyes shone looking at the spread of ice creams in front of her. I never have felt like this before. Star struck? But I shouldn't think about her. She is a rich actress with a boyfriend and I am just a common man. What am I thinking? Get out of my head.."

Sana giggles and says,"Aww.. you were thinking about me.. how cute! Hmm.. let's see what else you wrote." She turns pages and comes across the date when the hotel was under the attack. She scans through the writing where he describes what had happened in detail. In the last paragraph he had mentioned only about her.
"I was really scared today, for my life. I couldn't die like this. Who would look after my family? I had to be brave today not only for myself but also for her. Sana. She was so vulnerable. I had not seen her so closely. Her eyes! They were so beautiful and deep. I was lost in them for some time. The way she was holding on to me, it felt good. I felt good that she needed me in some way. I am talking like a teenager, whose crush had spoken to him for the first time. I think I too have a crush on her. I know I am acting stupid. Grow up Sid. You are not in your teens. I am in my 30s. Help me Baba.."
Sana puts her hand on her mouth and says,"Hau! Crush!"
