And Zeus the king of godlike host
Did stand from throne with little boast.
In hall of mansion wracked and torn
To face the wrath of woman scorn.

"What weregild paid will please my bride
Whom king betrayed in vainest pride.
But ask the price and Zeus will pay
What ever fee my Queen may say."

And Zeuses' heart did bid revolt
But still he readied thunder bolt.
To hurl across the sky at babe
In crib where welplings form was laid.

And Hera paused before she spoke Then opened mouth and tension broke

And Hera paused before she spoke
Then opened mouth and tension broke.
"Behold the land where mortals trod
No temples bear for queen of Gods.

And mortal men do barely know
Who grants them clans and makes them grow.
I bid your son to bear my name
A demi-god to win me fame.

That Heras' role be widely told
In tales of hero great and bold.
So men may know the goddess queen
From tales of son my grandness glean."

And court does calm at queens request
That babe be spared to bear her crest.
And heaves a sigh of sweet relief
That Heras' pride averted grief.

And Zeus the king of gods did grant
Request at time the seemed so scant.
Allowing child to bear her name
To win the goddess great acclaim.

And Hera left her husbands throne
To go to world where mortals roam.
To see the child her pride had claim
And grant the baby Heras' name.
