Third Person

Mal sat in Evie's design sunroom to vent some, and to also simply have some much-needed girl time. But this girl time was very much more about the recent theft Auradon has experienced,

"Who else knows about the scepter being stolen?"

Mal scoffed some and shook her head,

"No one, I mean people are scared as it is. Ben thinks we should hold off as long as we can without making it news as to not shake anything up. Brielle thinks we should just go and shout it from the rooftops apparently. I mean all the security measures we are going to have to install are enough right?"

Evie took a second to think with a furrowed brow,

"It will be officially announced through right?"

Evie said with some concern as she thought it would be smart to let the people know that someone had indeed stolen a very dangerous magical relic and is running loose with it. Mal looked to her and could only shrug,

"Is this going to delay bringing over more VKs?"

Evie said with even more concern as the VK project means a lot to her. She's always appreciated Brielle with high regards as she really takes the VK project seriously,

"They're thinking of closing the barrier for good"

Evie lightly gasped and looked to her friend in shock,

"But you said no, right? What did Bri and Harry have to say?"

Mal blanked for a second and took a second to think, making sure to adjust her words with the truth to cover her own thinking as she knew her best friend would never agree,

"They were a little quiet during the whole thing. Probably a little shaken up from yesterday since Harry got struck by Hades to protect Bri and such"

Mal fibbed a little too easily. Evie though didn't exactly believe that, she's smarter than that. Brielle and Harry appeared to be fine right after the attack, why would they get quiet and scared a day later? It didn't sound like them. Not to mention Evie was a little off-put by how Mal didn't answer her original question,

"I mean the five of us are living the dream and we finally get to share that, what could be more important than that?"

Evie thoughtfully spoke, all while Mal gave her a blank stare and crossed arms, mustering up a mere response,

"Yeah, I know..."

Mal backed up some and sat down, gathering her thoughts and putting them into what she thought was a believable order,

"... maybe security? Or maybe peace of mind for everyone in Auradon?"

Evie completely ignored Mal's outlook, she was too busy thinking about the Isle and the terrifying thought of abandoning all the children and people on the Isle for simple peace of mind,

"M is that seriously what they're thinking? No one going in or out of that Isle again? We'd never be able to see our parents again, we promised these kids that they'd be able to visit their parents whenever they wanted. Bri and Harry had to have heavily gone against that right?"

Mal took a second to think, in her mind she believed very truly that Brielle and Harry weren't looking out for Auradon as much as they could and worried too much about the Isle solely, she knew if she told her best friend who is very passionate about the matter too that she went for the closing of the barrier then she'd look terrible and Evie would be furious. So, Mal simply did what she thought was necessary,
