Part 12- getting ready for the second task

Despite last nights events ending with Hermione in tears, i still managed to wake up with a huge smile on my face and i could tell it would't be leaving any time soon. 

After a while of sitting in bed thinking about last night, it was time to go down for breakfast. you know you can always sit with me if you don't want to face the boys" I smiled gently at Hermione 

"honestly it's fine y/n, if i don't do it today I never will. Besides, I am being the bigger person and you can sit with Fred" she tilted her head with a grin "so what happened with you two last night?" she continued 

"well after I saw him kissing Angelina" she looked at me shocked "no no! it was George but I didn't know that because... well you know they are identical. Anyways, he saw me leave the hall crying which was quite embarrassing but then he told me how he wanted to ask me to be his date but got scared I would say no and well yeah after that it was just perfect" I couldn't help but let out a smile followed by butterflies in my stomach. It really was perfect. 

"shall we meet later to help harry with this whole egg situation" she suggested and i nodded 

"of course. I promise I will bring my brains and all my knowledge."

A few minutes later we were on our way to the great hall for breakfast when we came across my favourite red head. "I will leave you to it" Hermione wiggled her eyebrows at me with a mischievous grin before turning to leave. I suddenly felt a warm hand slip into mine and grip on tight 

"how bout we go for a little walk" Fred's gorgeous eyes winking at me threw me off my train of thought

 "y-yeah I would love to. mind if we can get some food first?" I replied having to tilt my head back to look up to his height.

 "anything for you love" the nickname still causes me to blush.

----------------------------------short time skip--------------------------------------------------------

"so.. where should we go" I could feel the icy cold breeze of winter flowing through the air 

"how about the black lake" he replied taking my hand into his. 

We had been walking for a while down to the black lake when a sudden shiver filled my body causing Fred to turn to me. He released his hand from mine and started removing his red woolly jumper "and what do you think your doing?" he looked at me smiling

 "giving it to you of course. you don't expect me to let my girl freeze to death" I smiled enormously before taking the jumper from his hand and putting it on. I was suddenly filled by his scent and was no longer cold. 

"your girl hey?" I teased him 

"hey hey hey I can take it back you know" he gave me a little push 

"you wouldn't dare" I joked, not knowing what the comment would lead to. we laughed before my feet were suddenly off the ground. not again. He had thrown me over his shoulder laughing "put me down Frederick Weasley" I tried to stay serious but couldn't contain my laugh 

"if you wish" he threw me from his shoulders and I fell onto my back on the cold floor. Still laughing me he fell to the floor right on top of me. 

"your a right ass you know that" I was still laughing before our eyes suddenly locked. His face was now up close to mine

 "yes but you love it" I looked away hiding my blush before his hand moved my face back in front of his. Before I could speak his lips suddenly pressed against mine with both his hands against my cheeks. It was magical. I never wanted to leave this.

 "shit" he pulled back looking at me in surprise

 "what? whats wrong did I do something wrong? I'm sorry I should't have kissed you-" he became worried 

"Fred you did nothing wrong it was perfect" I reassured him placing my hand on his cheek "I just remembered that I promised to help Hermione and Harry with his second task "i'm so sorry" he sighed in relief at the reassurance

 "don't worry about it love. lets head back" he reached his hand out to help me up.

When we made it back to the doors, I began taking off his jumper to return it "no you keep it. it looks so much better on you" I reached up and placed a kiss on his cheek 

"how about we meet up late in the common room. at least it will be warmer" I suggested and he nodded in response. He pulled me into a hug before saying goodbye. I began turning to head to the library before being pulled back into a kiss. Our lips met just like before and a warm feeling filled my body. 

-------------------------------time skip----------------------------------------------------

"come seek us where our voices sound..." Harry had repeated for about the thousandth time

 "the black lake that is obvious" Hermione interrupted 

"an hour long you'll have to look..." 

"again that's obvious, though admittedly potentially problematic"

"potentially problematic! whens the last time you held your breathe underwater for an hour Hermione?" Harry snapped back 

"okay we are all just going round in circles so lets take a look at some potions that may help" I suggested trying to diffuse the tension  "Look harry we can do this.. the four of us can work this out" I looked over to Ron who was asleep leaning back on his chair. I let out a little giggle at the sit of hims snoring. That boy can really sleep anywhere 

"hate to break up the spells session" the sound of Professor moody's voice sent a shiver down my spine "professor mcgonagall would like to see you in her office" Harry immediately rose from his seat "not you potter just miss y/l/n and miss Granger" we both got up after giving each other a confused stare 

"but sir the second task is only hours away-"

"exactly.. I assume potter is well prepared by now and could do with a good nights sleep. go" what is this man up to and why does Professor need to see us? 

"Harry we will see you later" I gave him a sympathetic smile "oh and could you tell Fred where I am?" he nodded back at me before collecting his books together. 

Hermione and I were still so confused about why we had been called to Mcgonagalls office. "you didn't get in trouble for anything did you?" she looked at me with a concerned tone in her voice. I decided to just laugh it off. I mean I'm pretty sure I haven't. 

when we reached her door, it opened wide before we could knock. "miss y/l/n, miss Granger please take a seat" in her office already seated was Cho Chang and who I believed to be Fleur's younger sister. "our champions are to find a treasure of sort that has been taken from them. you four have been chosen... Miss Chang for Cerdric, Miss Delacour for Fleur, Miss Granger for Viktor and Miss y/l/n for Harry. Now this isn't going to hurt however, it will feel like a long sleep." she placed her wand up before waving and casting a spell. "you will wake when broken through the barrier between water and air. good luck" I suddenly felt extremely tired and the room began to spin. I just about felt Hermione grip my hand and everything soon went black.
