I don't own Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan does

This takes place after the second chapter, which i keep forgetting to upload for the rewritten version. I'll try to do so shortly though will need to read through it again for mistakes.

Side-Chapter 2 – Part A – Settling in for a New Life

Percy's POV

Having met the Primordials now, and after having talked to them – a bit unsure and unwilling, yes, I'm looking at you Chaos. You practically pulled me here until I had to encounter the others like you, not telling me anything about what I would find on this side of the portal – I'm still hesitant around them. Yes, even after spending around two hours just staying in a single, very, very large room with them. Tensing slightly – though unnoticeably – when they got too close for my liking. Especially when Achlys, Gaia, Nyx and Tartarus got closer than the distance they normally were around. Which honestly, is always at least six meters away from me at all times.

Even after being reassured by Chaos, I still don't trust the four of them though I have silently agreed to give them a chance – a single chance.

Over the few hours I've been here now, they have just been speaking. Telling me things. About the universe. About the army they command. How they each have at least one personal assassin but that they also like to have more in case something... explainable happens – whatever that means, I get the feeling they weren't talking about death. I get the feeling they were talking about something... different. That they hope will never have happen again. Though, it seems like it has happened at least a few times in the past.

While they explain all this, I listen. I listen carefully, closely. I also try to sense if something is about to happen because of them. I make sure they won't sense what I'm doing though, especially with what the Void Star has told me. What Void has told me.

There is one main bit of information I gathered from them though. That they would all bless me. At some point at least. Apparently, they can't all bless me at once like the Gods have. For a very important fact. The reason? I would combust and die within seconds of having so much raw, untamed power inside.

"Aright Percy," Chaos claps standing up now as I turn my head to look at him from my own position, "I think it's time for you to get some rest. I'll take you to your room where you can get settled. Then, not tomorrow but the day after, we will begin your training. We need to closely evaluate where you are in it and see what ways we can help you improve."

I raise an eyebrow at him doubtfully, "At this current time? It is only two thirty-eight in the afternoon."

"You know the time?" Chaos blinks seeming to try to figure out how I would know this.

"I wear a watch." I deadpan as finally a look of realisation appears on his face.

"I knew that." Under Chaos' reply, I can hear a hint of embarrassment amid the muffled amusement some of the Primordials give.

Apparently, Chaos doesn't like the amusement. He shoots a glare at those who are making their amusement known. Those showing the amusement manage to stop it from showing. Though they are still amused, I can tell. So can Chaos by the slight twitch of his eye.

"Yes, I'm aware of the time, Percy." I raise an eyebrow at him but don't say anything – which he seems thankful for as he shoots a warning look at those who seem to let their amusement show once more. "I'm just thinking you would like to get settled and understand where things are first, before beginning training in two days. Get to understand where everything is while relaxing."
