3rd POV
It was spring time at Night Raven Collage. The bird were singing, bees were buzzing, and a raspy cough was happening.
"Are you alright, Y/n?" Ace asked his friend and Dorm Leader of Ramshackle. Epal and Jack pecked to where the girl was as Sebek was patting her back.
"Do you need to go to th- There's blood!!" Deuce pointed to the girl's lips as the first year gang instantly snapped their heads to their friend.
"Huh?" Y/n was confused. She did taste something metallic in her mouth. She reached to her lips and looked at her fingers. It was indeed blood.
"Fgnaa!? There's a thorn!!" Grim said as he gave the bloodied thorn to Jack.
"Why was there a thorn?" Jack questioned.
"Let's take her to the nurse first. And let's talk to the headmaster after." Epal suggested.
The nurse gave the girl some pills to deal with the pain as she gladly took them and drink it down. They soon head to Crowley's Office.
"Come in!" Crowley chimed happily. He just hopes it's not Trein and his boring talk about a problem again.
"Headmaster Crowley." Y/n and the gang stepped inside.
"Ah! What do you need Ms. Wonderlin?" Crowley asked, thankful that it wasn't the old man.
After a few minutes of explaining, the headmaster's smiling face turned grimed.
"My dear, you have a disease called Hanahaki." Everyone's heart dropped to their stomach. They know what the disease is thanks to Trien's class. "There is only two cures to handle it. The first is a surgery where they take out the plant that's growing inside you but you lose all feelings towards the person. And the second is to confess your feelings to that said person, who ever it is." Crowley briefly explained to the gang who felt silent.
"Do you know who you fell for, Y/n?" Epal asked with a shaken voice. Sadly, the girl didn't know who. She never really had a crush on anyone in Night Raven. She always sees them as family or close friends or in a sibling like relationship.
"I'll take the surgery." Y/n said, but a coughing fit happened and it hurts so much that she needed support to keep standing. Thanks to Jack and Sebek, she was able to stand up properly.
"M-More thorns!!" Ace stuttered out, horrified. There were more thorns this time. The headmaster rushed to the girl's aid. He gave Y/n the day off until she was better. The first year gang helped their friend to get to Ramshackle Dorm. They soon left after she arrived in her room.
"I'm worried you guys." Epal said, tears threatening to fall. "What if she-" Epal couldn't finish his sentence as he choked out a sob. Jack rubbed Epal's back.
"It'll be ok, Epal. She's a strong girl after all." Jack reassured his friend as Epal calmed down a bit.
"We should head back and inform the others, just in case." Deuce told them as they nodded their heads. They head to their respective dorms and told about Y/n's condition. The word spread like wild fire into the other dorms as well. Including a certain prince.
"!?" Malleus was shocked when he heard the news from Sebek. Malleus always held Y/n close to his heart. They were great friends. And that's it to Malleus. Only a friend.

Night soon fell over to he College as Malleus went out to see Y/n for himself. He was worried nonetheless.
