CHAPTER 10 ⚠TW⚠

"Son. You finally came home," I heard an annoying voice say as I stepped into our estate.

"Yup," I said, blowing out a breath.

He stayed silent. Weird.

 
Something's up.

"What? Not gonna yell at your son for all his failures again? Something happen to your oh so important reputation? Or, lemme guess, something happened with mom again?"

"We don't speak of her anymore" He grumbled under his breath.

"So it is about mom?" I asked, stalking up to him.

"I told you Keefe, drop it!" He yelled. I was taken back for a slight second.

"NO! OK?!" I yelled back at him. "We both know this is about mom, so why dont you just spill? Afraid I'm gonna go tell someone and ruin your reputation?"

"Your mom managed to escape from prison. There, Happy!?" He yelled, then angrily stomping outside.

Wait what? My mom went to prison about 8 years ago when she was caught to be part of an evil mafia...

And why escape now? Knowing my mom, she probably plans to unleash some evil virus or something into the world. (conspiracy theory - Lady Gisela ate the bat)

But then again, Father dearest probably could be lying to scare me. But he knows this could ruin his reputation..so it's probably true..

Ugh. My life is so messed up. Looking at Fitzy's perfect family, who wouldnt be envious?

And Sophie with her amazing adoptive parents. Even though Grady can be scary, I bet he means well.

Then there's me. The one kid everyone thinks has a perfect life when at school, but they don't really know what happens out of school.

Not to be over dramatic, but what really is the point of living anymore? Not like anyone I know really cared about me anyway.

I walk outside our neighborhood, letting the wind brush my face. Then, I saw a high bridge with a lake under it.

Should I..

I walk over to the edge of the bridge.

I think about all my life. Everyone I've met. But most importantly, the friends Ive made.

Fitz, Dex, Tam(yes even tam as much as I hate to admit it), and everyone else but..

Most importantly....

Sophie.

I swear I just saw a glimpse of her across the bridge right before I jumped.

"KEEFE NO!" I heard her say. But after that, all I saw was black.
