Chapter 64

As Sid and Sana enter the venue, they stand for press and media people to take photos. Sid holds her not too close with his hand on her waist. He smiles softly as he faces the camera with his star wife. Sana gazes at him, thinking how handsome he looks even in a plain white shirt. She smiles to herself and pose for the cameras. Reporters standing accost Sidharth with questions.
Reporter- "Sidharth,aap ko Bollywood mein aaneke bahut sare offers milrahein hain? Are we going to see you on the bigscreen soon?"
Sid looks at Sana and replies,"Bollywood already has some great actors. I don't know acting. So no you are never going to see me on any screen."
Reporter-"We have heard, you are a poet. We are hearing you are getting some offers for writing songs for movies. Is it true?"
Before he could say anything, Sana replies,"He is a great poet and yes he is getting many offers for writing in movies. But till now nothing is certain, so it is not fair to say anything. You will find out if anything works out." Sid looks at her and before any other reporters ask anything else he says,"Tonight we are here because of her, it's her night. Kindly spare me from any more questions.". He smiles at them and moves away from the reporters leaving Sana to answer them.

They sit in the dark hall of the theatre as the movie starts. Sid sits beside her looking at the screen while she looks at him. After some time, she puts her hands over his wrist and whispers,"Thank you for being with me today. I am sorry again for everything I said that day. I mean it. But I am upset too, that you didn't wear the.. forget it. It really does not matter anymore. You came! I am happy you came!" Sid doesn't reply as he keeps staring at the screen, watching her there. Sana's happiness is short lived as after the movie ends, Sidharth leaves the venue without meeting her. He does not attend after party held at a five star hotel.

"Why did you leave like that? People were asking about you at the after party. You didn't even tell me before leaving.", says Sana as Sid enters the room. He has returned few minutes ago. Sid says without looking at her,"I had straight come from the Restaurant as I wanted to be there for you, with you during the movie. I had to return back as they called me. You were busy talking to people, so I told Rohan and Maa before I left." Sana still angry says,"Why couldn't you take the shift off for me? Why did you leave? You could have just told them you are with me." Sid standing in front of the mirror, starts running his fingers through his hair,"I have a job and there are certain rules. I couldn't just take anytime off. However I had taken an off but they informed me that there was a shortage of staff and it was a weekend. You know the kind of rush we have on weekends." Sana shakes her head,"No that's not true. Actually you are still angry on me and you did everything because of that." Sid taking a deep breath replies,"I am not angry on you. And I didn't do anything knowingly. I.. I was there with you na. Please don't start all these again." Sana looks at him and coming closer says,"You don't need to do any job. You can write poems for the movies and earn so much. It will be fun na. We both in the same movie. You don't want to act, fine but you can do this na." Sid looks at her and says,"I can't leave my job for something that is not stable. Today I am getting offers what if I don't get them anymore. I have responsibilities Sana. Talk sensibly now." Sana grunts,"Ah..ann..responsibility.. job.. rules.. Why? Why can't you be normal for a change? Enjoy the things life is offering to you." Sid stays silent and then says,"No I can't enjoy life forgetting everything. And yes I have responsibilities which I need to take care of." Rubbing his temples he says,"You know the answers to the questions you are asking me now. You had perhaps loved me for that only. Today.. today that is a problem for you." Sid moves to the bed and sits down,"Listen I am really tired. I just returned now. I don't want to get into any arguments now. I want to sleep." He lies down on the bed, closing his eyes as Sana stands there speechless.

An amount of awkwardness between the two and the absence of Sidharth from the after party was spotted by the people around them. Rumours related to their relationship starts spreading. As a result the news of trouble in the paradise made it to various magazines, newspapers and news channel as special reports. Reports stated that the lovebird's honeymoon phase is over. They were previously always seen together which is not the case now. Many have witnessed them fighting in the RV. While before they were seen to move around on the bike together with their open PDA, now they are found travelling alone in their respective vehicles, detached from one another. Some claim that the cracks were evident even in the Diwali party at Shahir Khan's house. They believe that Sana's inability to adjust in a middle class lifestyle and Sidharth's attitude and ego problems are the cause of this disturbance. Some magazines even claimed that Sana was seeking legal help to settle for divorce. Few people even stated that Asim Khan was right about their relationship.
