16. Anxiety

- Oh my god, Jennie! For the nth time, you won't fly us there! - I said frustrated since we were running late to our lunch with Lisa and Jisoo - Aren't you afraid to be seen? You never wanna show your powers, but now you wanna fly at daylight?

Jennie pouted and I stopped at my doorstep. She looked at my house and smiled:

- I love your house - she stated - It's cosy.. cosy like Rosie

I sighed and she laughed, making me laugh as well:

- I'm serious Jen - I looked at her and smiled softly - You have to be more careful, you have to stop flying

- I know - she looked down - But how will we get there in time?

I opened the door for her and we went in. I closed it and gestured upstairs:

- Let's take a bath

- Together? - she smirked and I blushed madly

- I preferred if you didn't - we heard my mother's voice on the living room and Jennie gulped

Oh my god— I didn't know my mom was home–

- But please, make yourself at home - she spoke again and I took her arm with mine - Chaeyoung, go show Jennie where the bathroom is and then come here, I wanna talk you

I'm screwed

I went upstairs and guided Jennie to my room:

- You know that I'm aware of where things are - she said while I scavenged my closet

- I know, but I have to look for a clothing that will fit you, which by the way, is really hard

- Hey! - she threw me a pillow - It's not my fault that I'm small

I laughed and took out a sweater and tight pants. I looked for normal underwear (since half of my panties had drawings) and gave it to her:

- I bet half of your underwear had rainbows and smiley faces - she mocked and grabbed my clothes

- And w-what's wrong with that? - I defended

- Nothing - she pecked my cheek making me blush - It's cute, baby

I huge urge of grabbing her and kissing the life out of her made itself perfect, but my shyness got the best of me:

- Y-you have everything you need in the bathroom - I opened the door - But call me if you need anything

- So I can call you while you're the bathing? - she smiled and immediately shut the door flustered, hearing her laugh inside

I went down the stairs and went to my mom. She noticed me and paused the program that she was watching on TV ('Married at First Sight' I think). She pointed at the couch and I sat down, gulping:

- Roseanne, tell me what happened - she said sternly

- W-what? - I asked

- I know you Chae, I know that you always call me, whether you're late or something really good or really bad happened. I'm your person, you tell me everything! If you simply had a blast at the party and went to Jennie's house, you would've called or texted me, yet you didn't do any. So, I came to the conclusion that something really bad happened, and I'm afraid of what it was

I looked shocked at her, mostly because of her ability to know exactly what was happening with me; but also because she was a better mom than I could ever ask for.

Either way, I didn't want to tell her what happened because I was now trying to cope with it and I knew that if I told her everything, I would relive it and it would be terrifying:
