Hongjoong
Hongjoong went to find the stream he had heard nearby and had no luck so far. He kept wandering around and pausing to listen for the noises of the water but with all the sporadically placed trees it was hard to tell where it was coming from.
"I might just have to give up, Seonghwa is going to wake up any time too.", Hongjoong sighed and then sat down but to his surprise he noticed a small glimmer in between two trees.
He quickly stood up and ran toward the light he had seen. Once he had reached it he saw it. The stream was right in front of him and Hongjoong had felt disappointed in himself for not finding it sooner but also very happy that he could help his new friend.
"Perfect! Now I must get some water to Seonghwa before he wakes up."
Hongjoong took out a small canister that was completely empty and filled it up in the stream. He had noticed that the stream wasn't the cleanest but if Seonghwa had to drink out of it then he would be okay for the most part.
Hongjoong sealed the canister and started hurrying back to where Lady Jia and Seonghwa were and luckily he hadn't gone too far. "Don't worry Seonghwa we're going to get you feeling better in no time!"
When Hongjoong got back he noticed that Lady Jia and Seonghwa were still there but Seonghwa was sweating badly again and he was starting to toss and turn a little since there wasn't much shade underneath the tree.
"Here you go Seonghwa I'm going to put this on your head.", Hongjoong dampened the cloth from earlier with the stream water and folded it before placing it underneath Seonghwa's bangs.
Seonghwa started to slowly wake up and cool down after a little while but Hongjoong was worried they couldn't carry on like this much longer.
He had contemplated following the stream but it wasn't a very big one so no towns were near the end.
He just sat down next to Seonghwa and rested his eyes for a moment as he waited for the other to get cooled down. Hongjoong hadn't felt much heat despite all the running around he did but he just figured it was due to his determination to stay cool that he felt that way, he was most likely burning up as well.
Hongjoong began to fall asleep as well as the other male was taking awhile to wake up and soon he had fallen fast asleep, peacefully dreaming of the adventure that lay ahead.
Seonghwa
Seonghwa had fallen asleep because of the heat but he wasn't a very deep sleeper at all and he had heard everything Hongjoong told him. As he started to wake up he felt joy as he knew there was someone who was caring for him and someone who wanted to take care of him.
Seonghwa had finally fully woken up and was still a little hot but nothing severe. He looked to his left and saw Hongjoong sleeping soundly without his hood on and, as he had forgotten about it, and his lips sitting open a little.
Luckily, Seonghwa had never seen the Prince of Deoleoun since he hadn't been there too long and it was his first time every seeing the younger male without his hood on.
He sat there admiring Hongjoong and his darkly colored eyes and soft facial features, "Wow..."
Seonghwa reached his hand out to touch his hair, unconsciously of course. He was very curious about Hongjoong, or Juyo as he knows him, and couldn't help but want to keep staring at him.
Just then, Seonghwa touched his hair and pet his head lightly whilst observing the softness and color of it.
But, the touch of Seonghwa's (quite) warm hands woke Hongjoong up slightly and Seonghwa noticed what he was doing and pulled his hand away, "Seonghwa? Are you finally awake.."
Hongjoong's voiced trailed off as he was still waking up and once he finally came to his senses he sat up and looked at Seonghwa who now had a bright smile on his face.
"Yes I'm awake now. Thank you so much for your kindness...you have done alot for me and we aren't even half way to our destination yet."
Seonghwa continued to smile at Hongjoong and he noticed a bit of drool on the side of Hongjoong's lips.
"Oh here let me get that for you.", Seonghwa chuckled and wiped off the side of he other male's lips with his thumb.
Hongjoong looked at Seonghwa confused, "Wait but how did you see it-"
Then Hongjoong patted his head and reached for his hood and realized he wasn't wearing it anymore.
"Oh I- I'm not wearing my hood!"
"It's okay Juyo, I don't really get why you wear that hood but I think you look amazing without it anyways...you are a very handsome person."
Seonghwa smiled and the other male sighed in relief, "So you don't recognize me Seonghwa?"
"Nope not all but we should get going, we have spent...probably about an hour here anyways and who knows if we will find shelter before nightfall."
He stood up and reached his hand out to Hongjoong and helped him off the ground. They both grabbed their things and Seonghwa gave back the cloth that Hongjoong had lent him to help the heat.
They both started walking on the path again as the sun started to slowly set, they talked and laughed and made funny stories to entertain each other while they walked.
The two boys enjoyed the company and neither of them felt lonely anymore as they walked along side each other to their destination..

This chapter was more of just a few nice soft moments of seongjoong because I don't put those in often!
(side note, don't put your cat in a bag for more than 10 minutes like these guys. This is just a fiction where cats can't suffocate ig)
