On a December morning, Mr Jones found a close friend dead in his own house. He alerted the police and told them how he had found his friend's body. He had been passing by his friend's house and decided to call in. He knocked on the door but couldn't hear any movement inside. However, he could see a light in the front room through a window. He wiped away the condensation and saw his friend's body on the floor. Inspector Lestrade immediately arrested Mr Jones as the main suspect.
