My arm wrapped around Jesse's. I was three inches taller but that didn't help since Jesse is 6'1 feet.

"So this is what a ball is like?" Jesse asked.

"Yeah, even though this is the first one I've been too." I said as Matt came over.

"Cassie you finally back." He said as we hugged.

"It's great to be back. Have you seen Caroline or Damon Stefan or Elena?" I asked.

"Nope, but they should be here soon." Matt said.

"Champagne?" A waiter asked.

I smiled as Matt Jesse and I grabbed one.

"Thank you." I said for the three of us.

"I'm going to look around for a girl." Jesse said walking off as I laughed.

"I guess it's just you and me." Matt said as I stood beside him.

"Yup." I said as he held out his hand.

I laughed taking it as he twirled me around.

I blocked out Eligha talking as I started at my necklace.

"Cass you alright?" Matt whispered to me.

"Yeah fine." I whispered back.

I got lost in thought yet again until someone tapped my shoulder.

"Matt I said." I stopped to see Kol instead of Matt.

"Care to dance?" He asked.

"It would rude not too." I said taking his hand.

I sighed as the music started and we started dancing.

"So where's the girlfriend?" I asked.

"She's not my girlfriend." Kol replied.

"Than what is she?" I asked him.

"She was a attraction."

"From who?" I asked.

"You." I looked at him still dancing.

"Me?" I asked.

"Who else. I thought I lost you. But she can't be uncompelled she doesn't like the same music I do. And she wasn't you." Kol said.

"I didn't mean."

I was cut off by everyone changing partners as I sighed.
