Ugh.

I don't want to get up...

It's too early for anything...

I check the clock and it's 10:42.

Way too early...

I have stuff to do today, so I begrudgingly pull myself out of bed only to have the blanket wrap around my ankle, causing me to fall to the floor, landing with a hard thud.

Ow...

Groaning as I unwrap my foot, I see something under my bed.

A book.

I reach for it and pull it out. It's the weird purple book that looks like it's a million years old. How had I forgotten about it? Sitting up, I study the pages. Not a single word in english...

The front cover had the weird word that I couldn't read.

∴ᔑℸ ̣ ᓵ⍑ᒷ∷ᓭ

My curiosity was overwhelming as I flipped through the pages. There were some illustrations of weird beings. They had large purple wings, weird pointy masks that reached below their chins, and white cloaks hanging over their entire body like a vampire, and their skin was pitch black like the abyss. They were creepy...

The same symbol on the front cover showed up on their masks, on a pin holding their cloaks on, and several more places throughout the book.

On the first page was a paragraph on the left, resembling the shape of a poem.

(it is translated at the bottom but feel free to translate it yourself if you want :) )

I wanted to know what this said...

Who these creatures were...

I stood up, pulling the book into my inventory, and headed out the door.

~TINY TINY TIMESKIP~

The Shopping District was fairly empty as I swooped down, flying through the main nether portal and into the lounge, startling xB who was sitting on the couch, reading.

"Hey xB! Whatcha doin'?"

"Reading." His voice was quiet, like normal.

I decided to see if he knew the strange language, so I pulled out my book and handed it to him. "Do you know that language?"

He looked it over, an expression of curiosity painted on his face. "No, I've never seen it..."

"Do you know if it even is a language?"

"I would assume so. There are different symbols and many repeat in different words, so I would assume each symbol represents a different letter."

"How hard would it be to translate?"
