I made it outside, I knew ma wouldn't want me to drive drunk and half stoned home. I figured I could sleep in my car and go home in the morning.
"Wait!" Satrina shouts. Damn I hate the girls who don't want a one-night stand. Delilah was the only girl I wanted forever with, but now she's gone. All I wanted tonight was to get drunk and have a semi-one-night stand. I hear heals clacking faster as Satrina tries to catch up. "Jace wait!" I sigh and spin around.
"What?!" I growl. Her feet falter as surprise covers her face. Then as quickly as it was there it was gone.
"You're drunk and stoned so you shouldn't be driving. How about this I'll take you to my place and you can go home tomorrow. I promise I won't do anything you don't want me to do." She states. There's something different about her, like she has other plans. I knew that it's too chilly to stay in my car all night, but there's something shady about Satrina. Seeing no other options, I tilted my head and tossed her my keys. I went in the backseat where I can rest. I laid down as she got in the front seat. She turned the car on and started driving. The sound of the engine lulled me to sleep.
Water splashes on me and I immediately sit up only to be restrained by chains. I shake my head getting most of the water off my face.
"Good morning, baby." Satrina says seductively. My head starts pounding as a killer headache approaches.
"Where am I?" I whisper
"Oh, you know... somewhere." She says smirking. "How's the hangover?"
"Oh, you know... a hangover." I mock. She smiles at my choice of words.
"Anyways, I figure I'd wake you up before the Boss does. Well, I've got to go. Tootles!" She stands up and walks out. I look around and saw a body crumpled up a few feet away from me. The work clothes look familiar. Then something clicked in my head as I put the pieces together.
"Momma?" I whisper. "Mom, wake up." She stirs and sits up.
"Where... where am I?"
"I-I don't know ma." I reply as she looks at me. She wasn't shackled like me, and I was confused. "But I promise I'll get us out of here." Then I heard voices. The door opened and in came a male. His hair was golden brown, and his eyes were pale gray. He had a scar on his left eyebrow. He smiled when he saw me, and mom awake.
"Hello, Jace Young and Shannon Young. I must say that I'm sorry about this situation you're in. You see Little Miss Delilah killed my only brother and well I want revenge. But" He chuckles without humor. "She, well, she disappeared off the face of the earth. I cannot seem to find her." His eyes twinkled in amusement. "She will come to me and once she does, I'll let you both go. I wouldn't need you both anymore, I just need to lure her here. Now as hard as it is for me to say this, I must have evidence that the both of you are here." He looks at me. "Are you the man of the house?" I lean forward angerly and spat in his face. He tilts his head smiles and grabs my neck.
"JACE!" Mom shouts. I smile getting a rise out of this dude.
"Do that again boy I will kill your mother!" He replies angerly. I saw red as my smile dropped. He smiled happy he got a rise out of me and released my neck. "Now I'll ask again. Are you the man of the house or do I have to find your father? I didn't see him at all so if you aren't then I'll find him." I look over at ma who looks terrified. I'd do anything to keep her safe. I looked back at the man.
"If I answer then will you release my mom?" I ask trying to bargain with him. He thought for a second and smiled.
"I can't... She knows too much, and I don't want the police on my ass."
"No, she doesn't. She has Alzheimer's." I lie hoping he would believe me. "She won't remember a thing. I don't want to put unnecessary stress on her. As far as I'm concerned you don't need my mom to lure Delilah here. You need me because Delilah loves me more than my mother. She'll come a lot quicker if it's just me." The man stood there quiet thinking. He nodded at once.
"Alright, she's an old hag, I only need her for you. If you answer my question, I'll let your mom go."
"Then yes I am the man of the house. My father died in a motorcycle accident. Now will you let my mom go?" He nodded and whistled, and two guards walk in and grabbed mom.
"Now, I need to convince Delilah that she needs to comply." He replies as the guards walked out with mom. He smiled and I knew what would happen next. I stood up and spat at his shoes.
"Bring it old man. I'll kick your ass." I snarled. His smile grew and he walked forward. I balled my fists and went into my fighting stance ready for the first punch. My gaze didn't catch the fist that was aimed at my face. The blow knocked my off guard a little. I wiped my mouth from the blood that came out and chuckled. I threw my fists. As the fight continued, I realized that he doesn't fight fair.
