Going out at night to parties wasn’t something she usually did. Maybe it was the big crows that could be found there sometimes, maybe it was the noise of the place. Or maybe both.

But on rare occasions, she found herself in those parties.

That day was one of those rare occasions. It was her friend’s birthday, and she and the rest of her friends had almost begged her to come with them to celebrate it that night. She couldn’t help but accept, as she wanted her friend to be happy, but made clear she wasn’t going to stay for too long. 

But now that she was alone in an unfamiliar place, her friends nowhere on sign… she cursed the moment she said yes. The cookie walked around for a few good minutes, making her way between the other cookies the best she could… but it seemed her friends had just vanished on thin air.

She sighed as she sat down on one of the bar’s stools, her legs tired after standing for so long.

“Here you go, Miss. It Is on the house” a voice suddenly said as a drink was put on her side, making her look up in surprise. Her eyes met a pair of unfamiliar green eyes, that was accompanied by a charming smile.

“Oh… thank you” she said with a smile as her cheeks turned red. He gave her a charming smile as she took a sip of the drink, his gaze on the glass he was cleaning for a moment.

“Something seems to bother you” he simply said, earning a tired sign from her.

“I came here with my friends, but they just… disappeared out of nowhere. I only came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday, this type of place...” 

“You like more quiet ones, right?” he said with a smile, earning a nod from her.

“Yeah… it’s not the type of place I would go all by myself” she said with a soft chuckle, blushing when the other cookie chuckled along with her.

“I can understand. Everyone has their own preferences, just like they have a favourite drink” he said with a charming smile.

“You are right. And talking about drinks, thank you for this one. You didn’t have to uh…”

“Sparkling cookie at your service. May I have the name of this lovely lady I’m keeping company?” he said, and she swore her cheeks couldn’t turn redder at that point.

“(Y/N), it’s nice to meet you Sparkling” she said with a smile, earning another charming smile from him.

“(Y/N), there you are! We had been looking for you!” one of her friends said just a few feet away from her, and she turned around to them with a smile.

“Hey! Give me a second!” she said to them, quickly turning again to Sparkling.

“Thank you for the drink, and for the company. Both were great” she said with a smile.

“I’m glad. If you are interested, this place is usually quite in an hour. I hope we see each other soon” he said with a charming smile, wiving her the last wink before he went to serve other costumers.

“Can’t believe you were flirting with the bartender as we looked for you all over the place”

“S-shut up!”
