dinner was quite for the most part but you didn't mind since listening to endeavors voice annoyed you. though, the silence didn't last

endeavor: this is.. a bit undercooked
todoroki: so then put your quirk to use and cook it to your preference
y/n: pfft-

you covered your mouth trying not to laugh, endeavor shot a look at you and you shoved rice in your mouth

fuyumi: o-oh? im sorry let me go-
natsou: no no, fuyumi. shoto has a point, and you don't have to do anything for this man.

he glared at endeavor and you all felt the tension in the air grow

fuyumi: ..

she sat back down, you saw the sad expression she had on her face. all she wanted was to have a good family, or at least an enjoyable family dinner but everytime she tried it never worked.

endeavor: shoto, how is school going?

and here it began, him trying to act like the father he never was and todoroki trying now to get mad

todoroki: fine.
endeavor: fine isn't enough to becoming the next number one hero
todoroki: how would you know? you're not even number one

you tried to hold back your laugh but a smile creeped up on your face

natsou: im going to be taking my leave now, thank you for the food
fuyumi: n-natsou-
natsou: im sorry.. I just.. I cant..

he said, getting up and leaving. the rest of dinner was silent after that, no one looked up at each other, no one spoke to each other. endeavor ended up washing the dishes while you, todoroki, and fuyumi, cleaned up the kitchen

fuyumi: i'm really sorry for making you guys clean up
todoroki: y/n would've been on me about it for the rest of the week if we didn't let her help
y/n: haha..
fuyumi: y/n..?
y/n: hm?
fuyumi: I know you and my father have never really had a.. good relationship..

you laughed

fuyumi: and the past cant just erase itself but.. all we can do now is try to move forward from it.. I see he's trying to become a better father, I know he's trying.. how do you see him?
y/n: well, i'll forgive him when shoto does. the only reason we don't have a good relationship is because of the shit he did to you all and he knows i'm always on his ass about it. it's really not my place to forgive him since I wasn't apart of it but.. i'll give him his respect when shoto forgives him

todoroki looked at you for a second and then looked back down at the table

fuyumi: what about you shoto? what do you think?
todoroki: ...I don't know.. I still don't see anything from him..

endeavor came back into the kitchen and you all looked over at him

endeavor: would you two... let me take you back to school..

you looked over at todoroki who was already looking at you with hesitation. he gave you a questioning look at you shrugged your shoulders

todoroki: okay..

you finished cleaning up and talked to fuyumi for a bit and then you all said your goodbyes

y/n: thank you so much for the food, it was delicious
fuyumi: thank you for coming, and for helping after!

she laughed

todoroki: thank you, sis
fuyumi: take care you two!

you hugged and got into endeavors car
