Lucien's POV

I walked into the infirmary and saw Scarlett in a fatal position on the bed.I clenched my jaw and shut my eyes tightly.God I hate seeing her in pain.

Just then my phone rang and I saw my brother's name flash across the screen.I didn't have time for his shit.I declined the call and walked toward Scarlett.She was still unconscious so I just watched over her.Her luscious black locks captivated my attention but then my phone rings again.

"Who the hell is calling me now?"I muttered and dug the phone out of my pocket.

"What?"I barked into the phone and heard a masculine laugh.

"Now Lucien is that any way to talk to your older brother?"he chastised and I ground my teeth.

"Speak your business so we don't waste both of our time more than we already are,"I said into the phone.

"I want a meeting with you tomorrow at 8 am sharp,"he said in his thick Italian accent.No way am I going to have a meeting with him again.He should've been dead but for my father's wishes he had the chance to live.

"Get that shit out of your head Kyle.I am not doing deals with you again.The last time I did father ended up dead-"he cut me off and I took a deep breath to calm myself.

"I know what I fucking did Lucien!You don't have to remind me,"he yelled into the phone.

"Then you have to remind yourself,kid.There is no way your getting near me and my business.Piss off,"I hung up and looked over to see Scarlett awake.

"Morning,"I said.She smiled at me tightly and I nodded.

"Good morning.Thanks for taking care of me last night,"she said softly. There had formed dark circles under her eyes from the few days of little to no sleep.

"No problem princess,"I let a small smile slip.It's almost like when I'm with this woman I can't stop the overwhelming emotions but when I'm with other people,well that's another story.

"Are you hungry?"I asked and she nods.I walk over to her IV and fill it with the necessary nutrients she needs.I take the needle and poke it gently into her arm and put a little bandage over it.

She sighed in relief as the food enter her and I see a little color return to her face.

"Thank you,"she says and I nod.She frowns and looks at me with those big blue eyes.

"No Lucien you don't understand.Thank you for saving me from the Russians,twice.Thank you for always caring although I know you aren't a person who shows emotion and cares about many people.I don't know what's so special about me but thank you.You consoled me when Hunter cheated and even let me stay in your house,although it's a bit stalkish, "she looked at me and smiled brightly."thank you so much,"she said and I stride over to her,grabbed  her face and kiss her.

Her soft lips kiss mine back and a groan makes it up from the back of my throat.I swipe my tounge over her lower lip and she opens her mouth.I kiss her with great passion and the kiss deepens.I feel my pants tighten and decide to break the kiss.

"Don't mention it,"I smirked and walked out.I have to go see what Kyle's problem is.When my father was still the boss Kyle was hoping he would be chosen to be the don because he was the oldest.But,he was careless.He partied,gambled and is a drug addict.The whole business would have gone downhill if he was the boss today.He got mad,ran to the Russian and American mafia and told them our location.My father was unprepared and was sniped in between the eyes and died.Before he died he wrote his will and made me the next mafia boss in line.

I walked to my office but the doorbell rang.I took the elevator down.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"I said when I opened the door.

"I told you we were having a meeting tomorrow,"he barked and I took a step towards him.I heard the elevator ding and saw Scarlett rolling in with her wheelchair.

"Well what do we have here?"Kyle looked at her with a disgusting look in his eyes that some twisted women find attractive.

"Lucien what's going on?I heard yelling,"she ignored Kyle.
