The truth untold

Everybody is cheering for their respective teams. I don't care that every girl is admiring Shi Jin's wet looks. I am not in a mood. I sat on the audience seat and am continuously looking at my watch, waiting for the game to end. While I am seeing Shi Jin increasing scores, my tears can't stop.

How can he pretend as if nothing happened and still continue to live a normal life?

After about half an hour, the game finally finished. Everyone is dancing, singing, congratulating, while the players are hugging each other with the trophy.

Shi Jin noticed me in the audience and without wasting any time, handed the trophy to one of the teammates and came running towards me. All the girls are going crazy for him and hooting like they saw prince charming. He sat in front of me, on his knees, fully drenched with sweat with a pretty victorious smile.

"Hey why are you crying? Didn't I play well?"

I nodded a 'no'.

"Then why are you crying? Please stop, my heart aches when it sees you wasting your precious tears," he wiped my tears and cupped my face, making me look at him.

"I don't want to stay here."

"Ok, let's go home," he pulled me out of the stadium and pushed me inside his car.

We didn't talked the whole way. Only my sobs, moans and groaning voices were heard. Once we reached home, Shi Jin went to get fresh and then sat in front of me.

"Now tell me what happened."

"Who is Suzy?"

"You already know her."

"Still I want to listen from your mouth."

"She is Rock's partner."

"That's it?"

"Of course."

Now he even started lying to me?

I stood up and went to the room to collect the diary and then showed him what I mean.

"What is it then?"

He was about to answer but a photo fell from the diary. I picked it up.

"Oh, it's me on the right, Suzy in the middle and--", he said after looking into the picture.

I stayed quiet for a moment. I made Shi Jin sit in front of me and placed an hour glass on the table.

"Let's play a game," I kept the diary aside, "We both will get 5 minutes to explain our sides. There will be ten rounds in which we'll cover up our life. And no lies this time. Take few deep breaths and be ready to surrender. No cheating this time."

He took a deep breath and turned the hour glass upside down.

He started, "ok, my parents left me to my grandma at a very young age and after her death, noona joined a cafe for a few years. Everybody teased me for being an orphan."

He turned the hour glass again and it's my turn.

"I am the single daughter of my parents and they love me a lot. Still, I was very much connected to my grandpa. He was my only best friend. I was very good at hacking and won most of the competitions in which I participated. Overall, I was a very good student."

His turn, "I had two friends. Suzy and Jihyun. Jihyun is an orphan like me while Suzy is the daughter of a millionaire. We all three studied in the same school and often bunked classes to have fun. To be true, Suzy was my childhood crush. I liked her from the very beginning. But Suzy's dad hated us for being orphans. Jihyun didn't liked him at all."
