“Wow, what a brutal first day!” Zoe exclaimed as we arrived at my dorm, she always decided to spend her afternoon’s at mine for some reason, she only slept in hers. I found it quite funny, she said my place was more homey for some reason, which I couldn’t really see. It just had a lot of pictures and that was pretty much it, hers was crammed all over the place with instruments everywhere, you could barely walk without stepping on something.

“You really think so?” I chuckled as I put my keys in the little bowl I always kept them “I found it quite fun, actually.”

“I’ve just always hated school for some reason.” she shrugged “I really hope they get the frat parties going soon!” she said giddily “I always came with my brother and they were such a riot!” she said with a laugh “We definitely have to go, and Daniel has to bring Jase of course.” she said, her cheeks slightly tinted pink, I smirked

“Speaking of Jase…” I chuckled and she blushed even deeper “what’s going on between you two?” I taunted and she rolled her eyes

“Oh no, you don’t get to go all ‘karma, bitch!’ on me just because I insinuated a possibility of you and my brother.” she said and then shuddered after “That sounder better in my head.” she groaned and I laughed loudly

“I’m just asking…” I sang as I headed to my fridge and grabbed a couple water bottles for both of us “you guys would be really cute, though.” I added as I opened the bottle and she hit my shoulder, causing me to spill a little bit of water on the floor, I shrieked and hit her back

“Okay, okay!” she yelled “Truce!” she breathed as she extended her hand out to me, I took it and we shook hands, slightly laughing “Man, are you sure you weren’t a boxer in another life?” she groaned “You hit pretty hard!” she winced

“Maybe I was, who knows.” I chuckled and then I heard her phone ring, she took it out of her pocket and answered it, sending me a smirk

“Zoe speaking.” she said once she brought her phone to her ear, I frowned and she only smirked wider as she mouthed at me ‘Daniel’ “Yeah, she’s here.” she said and then grinned at me “Okay, I’ll tell her.” she said before saying goodbye and hanging up

“What?” I asked and she smiled

“Danny wants to know if you’re up for a party tomorrow.” she said “At their university.”

“Tomorrow’s Tuesday.” I chuckled “Aren’t parties on the weekend?” I asked and she shrugged

“Who cares? It’s a party, with older guys!” she said happily “Even if you have eyes for my brother, there’s no harm in looking.” she chuckled and I threw my nearest pillow at her as she shrieked

“Will you stop?” I laughed “No boyfriends!” I exclaimed and she pouted “I’m not ready.” I whispered and she smiled sadly at me before resting her hand on my shoulder

“I’m sorry for pushing, but don’t waste an opportunity.” she said with a soft smile “You never know what can happen if you take risks, Ava.”

“I’ve never been a risk taker.” I shrugged “I only talked to my ex boyfriend because we were assigned as partners for a project, if that wouldn't have happened I probably would still be ‘weird, loner girl.’ and I never would’ve met Jase for that matter.” I said and she shook her head

“Well it’s a great thing you met me! I’m such a risk taker!” she exclaimed with a giggle and I rolled my eyes “But seriously, though;” she added “I’m not only saying this because he’s my brother and I know he’s a great guy, but don’t you think you and your ex broke up for a reason? To have a second chance?” I chuckled at the irony
