I frowned at my reflection making sure what I was wearing was good enough to meet Timothée's parents. After we made our relationship 'L-word' official, Timmy was persistent about me meeting his parents. Especially his mom, despite my annoying mommy issues.

"You look so beautiful." Timmy gasp dramatically walking into the bathroom. He wrapped his arms around my shoulder and squeezed me.

"What do I say about my job?" I whined to him for the hundredth time.

"They already know." he assured against my forehead. He sounded calm, letting me know he wasn't annoyed. In fact, he was more concerned about why I was nervous. How could I not be?

I leaned my body into him and just let his embrace calm me down. No matter how bad I wanted to hold this off, I couldn't. I had to do it for him.

It's been a while since I met my secret boyfriends parents, you know a little out of practice in that area. I constantly went over my explanations in my head, and rehearsed different answers—fuck who does this?

Timmy held my hand the entire way to his parents house. Not an ideal location for me, but it's not like we could go out to dinner. I hope he holds my hand for the rest of the night. I hate how much comfort I've put into Timmy, but he's such a lovable goof it's hard not to.

"What if I say something dumb?" I asked him in a whisper as we stood in front of the door.

"It's okay I say dumb things all the time," he said then the door swung open revealing a beautiful woman about my height. She had a huge warming smile on her face, and was quick to hug Timmy. He let go of me to hug her, "Hey mom!" he pulled away then wrapped an arm around her shoulders to face me.

"Hi, I'm Magnolia." I flushed but reach out a hand for her to shake.

"Well hello Magnolia! I'm Nicole!" she said just as excited as before and grabbed my hand then pulled in for a hug. "Oh dear, let's go in!" she said and led us both into their home.

"This is so beautiful, thank you for inviting me over tonight." I said softly to her.

"I've been begging Timmy to bring you over since he met you—then the whole secrecy, psh it made me have to meet you all the more." her voice stayed light as if your son having to date someone in secret was normal.

I wonder how many girls he's brought home?

We were led to the living room where a man was fumbling with a remote of some kind.

"Hey dad!" Tim walked over to him who promptly stood up to greet his son. "This is my girlfriend Magnolia." he said gesturing to me.

"Oh-Magnolia! Hmm... Magnolia," he tried to translate my name in french, "so wonderful, I'm Marc." he reached a hand out to me to take, when I did he gave it a quick peck.

"Nice to meet you, um I love your house, and you're son—well I guess that was obvious." I wanted to punch myself, but his parents laughed at my comment.

"You've been dating for a while now... sad this didn't happen sooner." Marc smiled in a regretful way.

"I know, I've been interested ever since he told us about your situation... you really signed an NDA for him?" Nicole asked prying on my side of the story.
