Adrian's POV

***2 years later***

Kace and I have been engaged for two years and we work side by side. We have had many run-ins with rival gangs but we take them out. Kace and I are going to start planning our wedding soon and I am excited.

"You ready angel?" Kace yells from downstairs. "We gotta go!"

"Ok coming!" I rush downstairs and kiss Kace's cheek. "Let's go!" I say having my arms wrapped around his neck.

"You going to sing," he says moving my hair behind my ear. "It's your first time at a Karaoke bar. People need to hear your voice."

"I don't know baby. I don't wanna look like a fool."

"Angel," he kisses my forehead and places his chin above my head as he pulls me in for a hug. "You can never be a fool. If you are then you are my fool."

I look up at him. "How are you so perfect?" I say as he kisses me gently and breaks it.

"You are my reason angel. I am perfect with you." I blush as he tells me those words. Them butterflies have never left my stomach. "Now let's go angel."

He slaps my ass and I playfully push him on the sofa and sit on top of him. I move my head towards his neck and my lips barely touch his neck. I giggle at his neck and get off of him and pat his stomach.

"Oh, you fucking tease!" He says sitting up smirking.

"Sorry, not sorry babe!" I say running to the car. I look behind me and see Kace chasing after me. I scream and laugh as I jump into the passenger and lock the doors. He tries to open the driver's door and he looks at me with a playfully serious face. I laugh at him almost falling off my seat. I finally unlock the door and his lips attack me and he breaks it.

"You are a tease." He says closing his door.

"You love me," I say smiling as I look at the window.

He moves my face gently to make me face him.

"Damn right angel." He says kissing me. I put my hand on the back of his head. He breaks the kiss and quietly laughs. "Later." He starts the car and we drive off to the bar. I know you can't go to a bar until you are 21 but Kace's dad owns it so we are special.

"Ok up next to sing is," the host says reading the envelope. "Adrian White!" Everyone claps and I stand up and look at Kace nervously.

"You got this angel." He mouths to me and I smile. As long as he is with me I am okay.

I walk up to the stage.

"The mic is yours, ma'am." The host says stepping away from the microphone stand. I smile and nod as I hold the mic on its stand.

I breathe in and out and look at Kace who looks at me with his handsome smile.

I nod at the DJ and look back at the crowd and shut my eyes.

Start the music

The music starts playing. One last time by Ariana Grande. Luckily I know this song by heart.

I look at Kace once I finish and he is smiling and cheering me on. I bow down and walk off the stage. I look back at Kace as he has his arms wide open. I run into his arms and kiss him as I am spinning in the air. He puts me down and cups my face.

"You were amazing angel." He leans in for a kiss but the door slam open. We look and it's one of the other rival gangs. There are at least three men.

"Ok! Everyone down now!" One of the rival members shout. I place my hand on the side where my gun is hidden.

Kace draws his gun and points it at one of them.

"Get out of my bar!" Kace shouts not lowering his gun. "Now!"

"Sorry, pretty boy!" The guy draws his gun and before he can pull the trigger I shoot him in the head and Kace shoots one of the other members. The member that's still alive draws his gun and shoots Kace in the rib. Kace falls to the ground.

"No!" I quickly load my gun and kill the guy and run to Kace. I bend down next to him and rip off my shirt and wrap it around his waist pressing on it to stop the bleeding. "Baby! Baby stay with me ok! I'm here!" This bar only has our gang members in it. "Someone call Blake! Please hurry! Get me a first aid kit!" I don't stop applying pressure. "Baby, baby, I'm right here ok."

Kace grunts at the pain. "Adrian I-" I interrupt him.

"Baby, please. Just breathe ok Blake and our private doctor is on the way." I say crying. This is the worst shot he has gotten. I don't wanna lose him. Kace's eyes shut and his head falls back. "Baby? Baby! Baby! Wake up! No please don't leave me!"

"Adrian! I am here!" I hear Blake shout and he grabs me up and the doctor takes over.

"Blake...he...I..." I break down sobbing and Blake puts a coat over my shirtless body and I hold it close and he pulls me close for a hug.

"Don't worry Adrian," he says hugging me tightly as I sob into his shirt. "He is strong. He will pull through."
