"Nathan", I called to the lengthy shadowy figure making its way towards me. I could barely see his face but my body had automatically recognized him.

A chilled cold smile came from him. In a way I'd never see him smile. Almost like a mischevious grin.

If I hadn't known better I almost would've thought he was someone else. Something off...

"Tyler", he spoke quickly.

I watched as his hands played with the pocket of his jeans. He was squirming. Nervous. I hadn't been nearly intimidating to be the reason for his fidgeting.

"Is something wrong?", I asked.

I didn't like the way he was acting. Larx? Maybe Larx had sparked the fear in his eyes.

"Where's Clayton?", he asked ignoring my question as a whole.

"Outside the school, what are you doing here? Nathan what's going on?!", I asked slightly more panicked now. He could at least give me something. Something to ease my mind or calm me down. Instead? He walked away. Straight to Clayton.

Great.

Well fuck you too.

Honestly it's not like me and Nathan actually got along. He didn't want me here at all. It was after all Claytons quick decision. Fuck him. Fuck them both. I didn't want to be here anyways.

"Tyler?", I heard a voice call.

I turned around.
Jump.
I couldn't help it.
Standing face to face, there I stood staring eye to eye with Nathan once again.

"Weren't you just....", I began, before being interrupted by a finger.

"Yes, I just came back", he spoke amused. "For?", I asked.
He smiled.
"To tell you everything's fine, where's Clayton", he asked.

Confusion.
Didn't we just have this conversation. I was right something was definitely wrong. "I just told you. Outside the school, remember?", I asked.

"Right...just making sure", he said licking his lips humored.

And again. He walked past me. I watched as he got a good distance away before calling out to me. "Go join the after party, I hear Asher's there", he waved me off, before turning slowly back around.

How?!

How had he known anything about Asher.
This was all too much to me.
Party?
I could use a real good release right now.

"Cmon Asher", Meadow laughed. "It's just a party." As her words feel out his eyes rolled slowly. I smiled admiring the objection he hadn't been afraid to show.

"A party Meadow, really?", he shook his head.

And the said release has been found I smiled.

" You guys said party?", I interrupted hastily. They both turned to me both wearing the same shocked reaction.

"Um yea?", Meadow smiled, intrigued.

"Can I join...or?", I asked hopefully. Asher met my eyes only to quickly look away with the smallest of smiles evident in the corner of his mouth.

"Yeah, sure...we'd like that", he chuckled.

Alright.
Release.

I wouldn't be able to. I wasn't stupid I knew something wasn't right with Nathan. I just really didn't want to have enough time on my hands to care. I knew something was about to happen and I just didn't want to be present when it did.
