ALL THE sounds of the walkers moaning and groaning made rosaline feel as if her blood pressure was going to rise and burst her veins open. there was a quarry which rick and morgan had found with thousands of walkers blocked by two trucks that were hanging by a thread. if they fell that would mean the walkers would tear down alexandria - they had to do something.

rick stood on the top of a car, screaming the plan over the sound of the dead, "i know this sounds insane, but we live in an insane world. we have to come for them before they come for us. it's that simple. this is where it all starts tomorrow."

rosaline nudged daryl beside her, seeing the wall underneath the truck starting to crumble, "that's not going to hold."

he turned to her, "just gotta hope it does."

"tobin gets in the truck, opens the exit and we're off. he hops out, catches up with his team at red staying on the west side of the road. daryl gets on his bike with rosaline, rhaegar running beside them, making as much sound as possible to keep them focused." before rick could finish, he was interrupted by a deep rumbling within the distance.

"you see that?" rosaline called out, over the sound of metal groaning, "it's gonna drop."

people's fear was becoming true. the quarry was giving in under the weight of the vehicle. they would have to do this now.

rick slapped his hands to his sides, "it's open! we got to do this now!" he jumped down from the car, "tobin's group, get moving, go!"

"no, rick, we're not ready!" tobin refused.

     he ignored him, "sasha! abraham!"

"damn straight, we'll do it live." the ginger replied.

the only reason rosaline was with daryl was because he'd refused to let her stay back or go with another group. after her injury had healed he wanted her as near to him as possible so nothing happened. rosaline took her bow off her back.

"you meet daryl and rosaline at red. let them take the hoard through the gauntlet." the former sheriff instructed desperately.

sasha dipped her head, climbing into her vehicle, "yeah, we meet at red."

     "go!"

"don't waste any arrows if you don't have to." the marksman muttered to her as they trained their weapons on the gap between the trucks.

     she nodded, "alright."

"daryl, get ready!" rick cried out.

     "they're coming!" he informed loudly.

"they're heading for home, we don't have a choice. get ready to hit the flares!" rick counted down, then signalled them to shoot the flares, "now!"
