.April 14th.
•~(Y/N) P.O.V.~• I couldn't help but stare at my hands as they shake uncontrollably in front of me. These hands could never do such a thing, they're wrong, but the long talon like wolf claws on the tips of my fingers suggest otherwise.
I groan as I lean my head back on the brick wall. In my panic I'd run to the only place I felt was safe, the drama club building, but no one was here. So instead I find myself stuck outside, sat on the ground with my back uncomfortably pressed against the red brick.
'Why do I have to look so hostile?' I wonder to myself, frustrated. Everything about me looks threatening, my teeth, my height, my nails, no matter how hard I try my appearance feels aggressive, regardless of this blinding white fur. I would never hurt anybody, I just look like I would.
Angrily I force my fist into the dirt, forming a small dip in the ground. I wish I could look gentle, friendly, approachable, like I know I truly am. However I'm pulled from my thoughts I see three familiar canines running toward me, even that, a pack of dogs running, looks hostile, even the kindest people I've come to know can look threatening in a charge. It's facts like that that make me lose hope in the possibility of a peaceful carnivore society working alongside herbivores, they will always see us as threats by nature.
"(Y/N)!" Taka shouts as she sprints towards me, carrying both mine and her backpacks in somewhat of a tumble as she crashes to the ground in front of me. Shortly followed by Ethne and Mayumi as they sit in front of me in a semi-circle.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Ethne asks, grabbing my hands and holding them in hers, looking at me as her eyes dart in a panic. "What did they say? Did they hurt you?" Mayumi asks, adding even more questions to the pile and she shuffles to the spot besides me and places a hesitant hand on my shoulder. Taka however remains silent as the less confident in the group, simply staring at the ground in front of us as her ears droop back sadly.
"Guys I'm fine," I giggle, sitting up and rolling my shoulders back. "Just got overwhelmed." I shrug, making excuses. Taka squints her eyes at me and shakes her head with a pout "I don't believe that for a second..." she mumbles, to which the other two quickly agree. "Yeah (Y/N)," Ethne sighs "I don't think you'd run all the way out here for just being 'overwhelmed'." she says, making finger quotes around the overwhelmed.
I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest, again shrugging my shoulders. Mayumi let's out a shaky breath before turning to face me. "Look, I know we haven't known you that long, and you don't have to tell us anything you don't want to," she starts, looking at me in the eye "but we're always here if need be, and we won't judge a word you have to say yeah? We're in this together now." she smiles as Taka and Ethne nod enthusiastically in agreement.
