When Lin Yie finally came out of the police station, night had already long since fallen.

Ch'en and Swire had quarreled for so long in the police station because they were both evenly matched opponents. No matter which one managed to take the upper hand, the other would quickly capitalize on their mistakes and regain the initiative. In the same way, in just a few hours, the officers of the LGD would remember Lin Yie as the man who "slept with Madam Chen" and "touched Swire's ass".

I really don't know what would happen if any of these words reached Rhodes Island.

Lin Yie shuddered at the thought. Just like that, his image in the eyes of operators such as Nightingale, Ifrit, and Skadi would be ruined? Lin Yie knew very well that rumors could kill people. After all, he came from an age where any information was just a click away.

And today he discovered that there were absolutely no less abnormal people in Terra than in Rhodes Island! God knows why he kept on encountering such weird people wherever he goes, is it because he had the physique that attracts neuroses. 'Isn't it?', Lin Yie couldn't figure it out, but he knew that his day had been wasted like this, and he hadn't even finished shopping in the commercial street.

Remembering his promise to Ace to buy him a cigarette, he took out his mobile phone to check the time. He found that it wasn't too late, so he should still be able to catch the night market. So he began walking towards the commercial street to buy cigarettes.

I hope it's still open even now. Lin Yie thought.

Just as he reached the entrance to the commercial street, he heard Ch'en's voice behind him, "Doctor Lin."

Turning his head, he found Ch'en standing there, having followed him out of the office, "Are you busy tonight?"

"Nothing at the moment."Lin Yie said, "I just need to go to the commercial street again."

"Which one?" Lin Yie told her the street name. She nodded "Then go. I've just been taking up your time today, so I'd like to invite you to dinner later."

"Uh, no problem. I won't take much time. Thank you for the invitation.", Lin Yie reflexively replied, saying something against his will.

"You're welcome," Ch'en said lightly, "I have something important to tell you as well."

Half an hour later, at a snack shop across the commercial street, Lin Yie and Ch'en sat across from each other. It's a bit like a food stall in the previous life that had no private rooms. All the guests were either sitting in the lobby or on the riverside.

While Lin Yie and Ch'en were sitting at such a table, a sudden breeze of Lungmen's cool night wind blew, raising Chen's blue hair like a catkin's. She was tilting her head, and the night view of the entire river was reflected in her red eyes.

Lin Yie stared at Ch'en and thought that maybe today hadn't been completely bad.

"Shouldn't you be surprised?" Ch'en suddenly said, catching Lin Yie off guard.

"Come again?", Lin Yie asked, coming out of his little trance.

"You thought that I was inviting you to dinner in a decent restaurant. Shouldn't you be disappointed?", Ch'en turned her head back to look at Lin Yie.

"No. I think it's pretty good here." Lin Yie thought about it, before continuing, "But I wasn't really thinking about it because you told me that you had something important to tell me. I thought you would choose some quiet place."
