As the final bell went off for the day, everyone immediately began to loiter around the classroom, moving closer toward their friends to chatter away about their weekend plans.

I, on the other hand, quickly gathered my things and left the class, ignoring the curious stares that Bella was giving me. Before I could meet with Theo, who was waiting patiently at the door for me, one of Bella's friends slid in front of me, a confident smile on his face.

"Hi, Genevieve," he said, raising his hand to shake mine. "I'm Eric Yorkie... I don't think that we've had a chance to meet."

I raise my eyebrow at him as I look down at his hand, which was trembling ever so slightly. Looking back up at him, I plaster on a clearly fake smile and shake my head. "Yeah... no."

I drop the smile and start walking past him, my shoulder brushing his as I head toward Theo, who was now watching with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Dude... you got friend-zoned before you could even become friends..." Eric's friend whispers, dragging him back to their little group by the shoulder.

"Be still my beating heart," Eric mutters, watching as Theo swings his arm over my shoulders.

I shake my head as we round the corner, away from the classroom's view, and head towards the parking lot. Glancing over at Theo and grinning at him.

"Between him and Lucas it looks like you have some competition," I joke, wrapping my arm around his waist as he just shakes his head.

"I can feel the nerves eating me away already. Can you feel me trembling?" He asks, holding his hands out for me to look at while he looks down at me, a mischievous glint hiding behind his amber eyes.

I chuckle pushing his hands back down as we walk through the main doors, towards the parking lot where the rest of the family was already waiting. I quickly grabbed my umbrella and opened it as we stepped out of the doors of the school, the rain immediately began to fall on us.

"So, how was your day?" Theo asked, taking the umbrella from me and holding it for the both of us, I smiled at him as I shifted my bag.

"Overall, it was fine. Got too many weird looks from Bella, but that's never gonna change..." I said, looking around and quickly seeing everyone by the cars.

Walking down the steps, we all quickly met up, Rose tossing me her keys so that Theo and I could put our bags in the car. After shutting the car door, Theo and I made our way over toward Rose, who was glowering in Bella's direction.
