It has been weeks since Kace was shot and he has been resting in bed ever since.

Our private doctor says that he needs to stay in bed for another week so that means he can't run the gang for a week.

I have been thinking about taking over until he is healed but I have to ask him. I know that he isn't going to not let me at first but I am very persuasive.

I knock on the door to our room lightly. "I am coming in," I say as I open the door. Kace lifts his head and smiles when he sees me.

"Hey beautiful," he says wincing the pain as he tries to sit up. I rush toward him and lay him back down. "Angel-"

"The doctor says you need rest," I say petting his hair. He grabs it and kisses it and places it in his chest. "I have a question." He looks at me and nods. "Since you can't watch over the gang for a week can I lead until you recover?"

"No." He says and closes his eyes.

"But-"

"No angel," he says grabbing my hand as our fingers intertwined. "I don't want to risk your safety." I can see the fear in his eyes as he thinks about me getting hurt. I kiss his forehead before speaking again.

"Kace please," I say looking him straight in the eyes. "Besides I'll have Blake with me. I want to prove to you that I can be trusted to lead when I am needed to. Please baby?" He tightens his grip on my hand and loosens it while sighing.

He kisses my hand. "Ok," he says closes his eyes and then opening them and looking straight into my eyes. "Ok angel but only if Blake is with you and you have to take this time to train." He reads me to make sure I understand as I sit next to him with the biggest smile on my face.

"Thank you so much, baby!" I say hugging him and he groans at the pain. I jump back and freeze. I realize what I did and I almost cried. "I am so sorry baby I forgot." I hold his hand and he laughs quietly.

"It's ok Angel," he kisses my hand. "It was an accident. Now go to the safe house and I'll have Blake meet you in my office. He will show you something before you start." I nod and kiss him. I pull away but he pulls me back in once more. "I can never get enough of you and your soft lips angel." He winks at me. I turn away and he slaps my ass.

"I love you too!" I laugh walking out of the room.

I arrived at the safe house and went to Kace's office and there waiting for me was no other than Blake himself.

"Blake hi!" I hug him and he hugs me back. "Kace said you wanted to show me something?"

"Yes," He nods. "Follow me, Boss."

It felt weird being called boss but it was policy. Whoever is leading must be called boss until Kace returns. If the policy is broken they will be punished. Let's say I have only punished two people and that was 3 years ago.

We walked into this big beautiful office right across from Kace's and it was my style.

"This is your office." He says handing me my keycard. "The only way you can get in is with this so don't lose it."

"Thanks, Blake," I say walking up to my desk. "Now-" I sit in my chair and lock my hands together and place my chin on top of them. "-what is the first thing we do?"
