PRISON

The world was so dark
And so was my mind
My heart racing and panting
My hands were handcuffed
By the Officer of the law
Cause I had broken a law
And my freedom was gone!!

Closed up in a grey wall
With iron bars and chains
Alone with out my mates
Tears rolling down my face
Imagining the world outside
It's beauty and cool breeze
My innocent mum
Her sweetheart gone to hell
Her only hope and trust
She believed in me
But I believed in crime!!

I miss my freedom and family
A choice I made insanely
Wishing I could undo
But it was irreversible
I was a tardy so guilty
Wishing I had followed mum's
Success script,but I bought
The Criminal recipe to follow!!

Her tears rolling down her chins
I melted and froze, feeling her pains
She whispered a prayer for my lost soul
A Call to repent and accept My Lord
A step I boldly took towards salvation
Now am a new Being at heart and Soul!!

Prison,was a disciplinary University
Where lessons of life were taught
The hard way and hardly passed
An exam of transformation from bad
Under the strict Supervision of laws
A college where we graduate with different
Degrees and intervals depending on crimes
We have committed and it's weights
Before the Chief Migrate of the Court
Am her alumni but I don't miss her !!
