Chapter 8- Defeated for the first time

Ridhima slowly pulled off her clothes. She was too tired for all those things she went through. And now sleep was consuming her. She wore a casual tea shirt and shorts and layed herself on the bed. Slowly her eyes closed down.

Suddenly she felt someone kissing her. An angry kiss. A rough one. Like a punishment.
She quickly opened her eyes. It was Vansh. He was looking ferocious. He was only in his boxers and nothing else. Ridhima didn't felt it right......she tried pushing him away instead he pinned her down and said,"Ridhima Vansh Rai Singhania....you went away with that boy from me......secondly you ignored me all through the marriage like I was a piece of shit. You made me an angry bull deary."
Ridhima could smell he was drunk. And now something severe was coming.
"Look...I am sorry....,"she tried to say.
"I don't want any apology. I want to hell do all the things I waited to do with you for so long...."
Ridhima's eyes got watery. She couldn't give up. And at the same time something came into her. She spitted out,"Wow. You know I was not wrong."
Vansh seeing her courage was surprised.
"What are you saying?"
"I am saying that I was not wrong to tell that being fatherless you grew up a spoilt child who only wants to show his manliness through raping girls. Your father was also like you I guess..."
Vansh's eyes widened in anger as he hissed and said,"Ridhima.....you don't know what you are bringing up for yourself. I will not let you go this time."
"Bullshit I don't care. You already did what you wanted. Now do whatever you like. You can rape me torture me and kill me even. Eventually they are what you want. And I don't want to live a life like this.... so kill me in the fastest way possible."
She said and hold up a firm face.
Somewhere in his heart,he felt a hammer striking him continuously. He never thought her saying something like that.
"Ridhima....I can't kill you.'
She laughed out,"Really?You can harass me....you can blackmail me .....you can kidnap me....you can hurt my family....you can force me marrying you....you can rape me but you can't kill me?That's so funny of you mister Singhania. You are giving me slow death right by hurting me in the severe possible way. Are you in love with me? Cause if I remember you married me for avenging that slap, which you actually deserved.i dont regret my actions neither fear death. I know I was right. But your can't hurt me now a funny thing..."
Vansh was angry. Frustrated. Agitated. Livid. Outraged.

He felt like for the first time someone had an impact on him so much......
He silently got up and left the room leaving a shocked Ridhima behind who just lied there in the same position and sighed.

For the first time in his life, someone defeated him badly.
That badly that he wanted
To run away from his own shadow.

-"Let's understand this....are we even supposed to fall in love?"
