Natalia's P.O.V
I drove towards the warehouse with a heavy chest as I came closer and closer to the location my sister had given me.
I was racking my brain trying to figure out what she was going to do to me once I arrived.
This made me wish I had told my kids one last goodbye.
I was silently hoping this wouldn't be my last night on this earth, but I knew hope wasn't something steady to rely on.
My phone rang drawing me away from my thoughts as I answered it.
"Natalia, where are you?" Maria asked telling me she either needed to be somewhere or she didn't have much patience but the years she spent planning her revenge had me pushing away the second option.
"I'm driving to the warehouse like you said." She didn't respond immediately as it sounded like she was speaking to someone.
"I expect you to be here in 5 minutes." I only mumbled a 'yes' before I hung up with a frown.
I opened the compartment in my car, taking out a burner phone.
I quickly dialed Alessandro's number and the phone rang a few times which earned a frustrated sigh from me since I was so close to the warehouse and there was no doubt in my mind Maria would have people checking the perimeter and if they saw me with a phone they'd call it in immediately.
I hung up deciding to call Alessia, it didn't take 3 rings for her to answer the phone.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Alessia, it's Natalia."
"Natalia? Why are you calling me on an unknown num-"
"I can't explain right now, but you need to get everyone out of the house. Maria has planted bombs all over, but she probably has cameras inside and guards watching the house so you need to find a way to get everyone out safely and undetected."
I knew I was basically asking for the impossible, but I knew she'd find a way to follow out my requests somehow.
"Natalia-"
"Please, Alessia. I don't have much time."
"At least tell me where you are."
"I can't. I have to go, I love you." I hung up before she had the chance to get in another word.
I forced down the tears that wanted to greet my skin as I wished I could speak to my children and Alessandro once again, but I knew I had to keep up a brave face even though I was terrified of the thought of today being the last time I'd get to see them.
I broke the phone before throwing it outside the window as I continued the drive towards the warehouse.

It took exactly 5 minutes to arrive at the warehouse.
The second I parked in front of the entrance guards immediately came to the door, opening it.
I stepped out which allowed a few of them to enter the car to search it while the rest searched me for any weapons.
"She's clear." The woman informed them, I glanced at the male guard who was making a gesture for me to go inside with his gun.
I wordlessly followed his silent order.
As I walked deeper and deeper into the warehouse I looked around trying to count the number of guards I saw since a part of me still thought I could get through this alive.
"Natalia, you're right on time." I heard my sister which drew me from my thoughts as I met her ocean blue eyes.
"Why did you want me to meet you here?" I asked with a frown.
"I wanted to talk."
"About what?"
"Our life together, our future."
"We have no future together, Maria. You have put my children and our family at risk just so you could get me here." I said while expressing my irritation at her statement in my voice and on my face.
"I did what I thought was necessary Natalia. You wouldn't come here if you didn't have something to lose." She replied as she took a seat around the table she had set up.
She was right about that.
"Why don't you just leave Alessandro and Alessia and come with me and our family?"
"Why would I do that?" I inquired while taking a seat.
"Because you love us and we can start a new life with new memories. We can finally be a family again."
"Didn't you try to kill me on multiple occasions?" I responded dryly as I crossed my arms.
"I was angry at you. You left me for dead, Natalia."
"I tried to help you but-"
"Don't make excuses. What happened to me was your fault." She stated allowing me to hear the aggression in her voice.
"And you know that didn't hurt me as much as the fact that you forgot about me the minute you thought I was dead." I shook my head in protest as that wasn't even close to the truth.
"I didn't-"
"You didn't? When was the last time you visited my 'grave'? Do you even remember my birthday?" She interrogated me.
"Of course, I remember your birthday Maria. It may seem like I forgot about you but I think about you every single day and I think about the things I could have done to save your life at that moment."
"And I'm so sorry you had to go through so many things by yourself. I should have done more...I wish I could have done more, maybe things would have been different." She chuckled softly, nodding.
"I never wanted any of this to happen, Natalia, but after I finally escaped my abusers, I went straight home and what I saw broke me." She began softly meeting my eyes once again this time tears slowly filled them.
"You were all happy and laughing while inside I was slowly dying. You all looked so fine without me and that wasn't even 6 months after my supposed death." I sighed hearing this.
I couldn't imagine how she felt and how this affected her.
"Maria, I'm so sorry you had to go through everything alone, but I'm here now and I can be here for you."
"I wasn't alone Natalia, I mean at the beginning I was, but after I saw you all I decided to start a new life...a life without anger."
"So, I got a couple of jobs and a house. I was happy though I didn't realize what I was missing until this woman came into the restaurant I was working at." I raised a brow to show my growing curiosity as she continued.
"She offered me a deal I couldn't refuse...She'd give me money and anything I needed if I helped her get revenge on Lorenzo Anderson and in doing so I found my way back to all of you..."
"The second I saw you all again I was filled with the same anger I had the first time and that's when I decided to get revenge for myself."
"Who is this woman?"
"Alessandro's mother."
Well, that took a turn.
