Just random Merthur AU's that come into my head that I will write in my free time. Angst it rare. Fluff and smut is not. Probably a lot of post reincarnation AU's. Not all of them. Arthur Pendragon is known by all as the Prince of Camelot, but no one knows of Merlin. A Prince who lost everything when he was just a boy. When the time to fight back comes Merlin will do what ever it takes to win his people their freedom back. Merlin sells newspapers on the streets in the late 1890s, and as a newsboy, he is homeless, living on the streets, saving the little money he earns to pay for food when he can. Then, one day, he sees Arthur, who is undoubtedly rich, but is like a golden sun in Merlin's smog-filled world. Merlin wants to bring Arthur flowers, but being so poor, he can only afford to go to a nearby field and pick a bunch of dandelions, not knowing they're considered weeds... When Uther Pendragon is invited by King Alden to the Kingdom of Cambria to watch the famed Tournament he's all too happy to accept. Arthur, however, doesn't share his father's enthusiasm. As the prince does all he can to keep Morgana's magic a secret from the two kings he finds someone else he needs to worry about; a contender of the tournament named Merlin.

Merthur AU (Set around early season 4) Arthur Pendragon is the new king of Camelot having assumed the throne after his father's death at the hands of his sister, Morgana. One day while out on a hunt, a Druid appears, telling him of his destiny; a man named Emrys who resides in Ealdor. The Druid advises the king to seek out the man, for Arthur's destiny cannot begin without him, for he is Morgana's doom. Merlin is a young warlock living in the small farming village of Ealdor. His life is quiet. He spends his days toiling away at the fields with his best friend Will while honing his magical talents with the help of his mentor, Gaius, the physician from Camelot who visits on occasion. When he meets Arthur Pendragon, he can't help but hate the prat. Of course, until he gets to know him better. Meanwhile, Morgana scours the kingdom for the sorcerer Emrys. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less. As their paths cross in the usually uneventful village, it becomes a race between the son and daughter of Uther Pendragon to either save or destroy Emrys.

After the battle of Camlann, Merlin manages to save Arthur, but what happens when they arrive to Camelot and find that the queen was dead? Everything goes exactly the same as in the show, except for a few changes. After the scene where Arthur says "Thank you" and supposedly dies, Merlin is able to still get him to the lake of Avalon in time to save him. Gwaine is also alive I do not own Merlin, any of the characters or the pictures, just the story

Wake up, forget to eat, walk to school, get beat up, have a crappy day, (oops forgot to each lunch, oh well), get beat up, limp home, eat a midnight snack(maybe), repeat. That is the daily life of 12th grade Merlin. At least it was until the senior year Paris trip when he was paired up with his sworn enemy/bully Author (rich/popular/mean boy) pendragon.
