Most dragons think animus magic is a gift. Opal is one of them. And it's true. But only in the right hands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Opal learns this when her perfect but old queen dies, and her horrid daughter takes over, all WEEKS before Opal's gifting day. The new queen wants something terrible, and Opal has to give a gift, Or die. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "No, no," I gasped, as my queen lay before me, life slipping out of her like sand through my talons. "I can save you, your majesty, it can be my gift to the tribe. I'll make the sickness go away." I'll make the life come back, she thinks, so that your horrid daughter NEVER becomes queen, so that she can grow up a bit more. She knows that if Sapphire becomes queen now, it won't be good. She'd to young, to scared. She would tear this kingdom apart. "No," rasps the queen, clutching Opal's talons. "I forbid you. You have a gift, and I need you to watch over Sapphire. Promise me you'll care for this kingdom.". Opal can hear the life draining from her, and she knows that the queen will not speak again. She can't refuse the wish of a dying queen. "I promise," she whispers, tears openly flowing from her face. The queen smiles at her, the last thing she will ever do. And the she is gone. Not even magic can bring her back now. Persimmon always knew she was meant for something greater. Her whole life had been the same story. She was surviving off of a risk. Her father would always steal moments to find a way to keep two dragonets alive for seven years. Persimmon's sister, Sangria, was different than her. She sees their father as a threat to their very lives. When danger beckons Persimmon out of the shadows, she must make a choice between avenging her family or focus on a greater threat; a dragon who has been plotting on another continent. Pyrrhia has more than one threat now. A raging war and a potential villain from a different world is the last thing this dragon wants to care about. For now, her duties lie elsewhere -- in the Ice Kingdom. Disclaimer: Wings of Fire is owned by Tui T. Sutherland. This is a fan adaptation of the Wings of Fire universe.

This book has been put on hold and will be rewritten soon! ------------------------ "You're just like her! You'll be nothing more than a shadow, HER shadow!" Every dragonet is born with a purpose, each one born with a future. They will have their paths and options set out before them, able to pick and chose which ones to take. Being told what to do and how to do it, but what if they want to do things for themselves and pick their own future? Their own paths to follow? Lydia always believed she had a future, it was always right there in front of her in the form of her mother. She was born with a purpose, a great one at that to take back what was rightfully stolen form her family. From her. She's been trained for this, trained for every possible future that could try and push its way into her life and distract her from what mattered most, for what she's been working for ever since she was able to walk on her own. She's ready for her first mission, her first chance to really prove herself to her parents that she's the dragonet they have raised, she's the dragonet they need to take back what's been lost. But....they didn't train her for all the challenges the real world truly holds outside of their hidden cave within the mountains. They didn't train her for what to do if dragons start to talk to her, follow her around and tell their stories. Dragons no one else can see. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T. Sutherland and this is just a fan-fiction based off of her series. No characters within this book are from the cannon books and it doesn't follow the cannon timeline. If you're reading this on a site other than Wattpad, then you're reading a stolen version from a site who has taken my work without my permission.

There is no way that Rain is normal. She doesn't feel normal. She doesn't look normal. She doesn't act normal. And no one else acts like she's normal, either. Everyone gives her sideways glances, keeps their distance from her. The strangest thing about her is that she can change. She can turn into a MudWing, a SandWing, a SkyWing, an IceWing, a NightWing, a HiveWing, a SilkWing, and a LeafWing. But all with RainWing traits. Venom here, camouflage there. She tries to be normal, she really does. But it just doesn't work. So when a mysterious dragon says he can help her make others accept her more, what can she do but say 'yes'? And so begins the adventure... WARNING: This book was slightly inspired by Insanity, another great book on Wattpad, so THERE WILL BE DEATH. Not nearly as much, and for completely different reasons, but you will notice many similarities. Also, at the beginning of the book, Rain doesn't know she has powers until she discovers them later on. The other RainWings were being jerks because she's different from them and kind of cooky in general. They also think she's a show-off. And one last thing, this book takes place one thousand years after the events of Tui's books, so keep in mind that everyone you know is dead. Okay, sorry for the interruption, please enjoy the story.

What would have happened to the Dragonets of Destiny if Glory's venom had failed to hit its mark in the SkyWing arena? If her venom hadn't pierced the scales of the SKyWing Queen, allowing her and her friends to escape? Well, this is the story of how Glory missed...
