Teach my Hearth to Stop is an alternate universe fan fiction inspired by Alice Oseman's Heartstopper characters Nick and Charlie and some of their friends. Inspiration is drawn from the books and the Netflix show. It is set 16 year's after Heartstopper began, but in a universe where Nick and Charlie had not yet met. Charlie still went to Truham Grammar School, but Nick did not, neither did Charlie's other love interest/bully Ben. Charlie was never actually outed at school either, but still bullied. Charlie is starting his new job as music teacher, he is nervous as this is his first teaching job. Who is that crazy man running out on the frosty school field so early in the morning, in shorts? Nick can't believe it's happening to him again, what is it with music teachers? But this time feels different. Sparks fly instantly between the PE teacher and new music teacher. It's not long before Mr. Spring and Mr. Nelson are falling hard for each other, but they both have their own demons from their past and new challenges to overcome together. This is one of the many universes where Nick and Charlie find each other. This is the love story of Mr. Spring and Mr. Nelson. *I acknowledge the characters from the Osemanverse are not mine and I have no legal rights to them.* *This Nick and Charlie are in their 30s. I love the Heartstopper universe and the world that Alice Oseman has created so superbly. All rights to these characters belong to her of course. It's my privilege to use them. The premise for this story is that Jane Spring was always a cold mother to Charlie and Tori and didn't have the redemption that comes towards the end of Volume 4 of Heartstopper or in This Winter. It's set many years after Nick and Charlie's teenage romance. The Spring children are all adults, Tori and Nick are in their early fifties, Charlie and Oliver in their forties. I haven't made anything futuristic here; although I love science-fiction this is the near-future and I don't imagine that anything will change that fundamentally. Trigger warnings: mention of death, pet bereavement, grief, bad family dynamics, one instance of swearing. The rating I've chosen is arbitary - anyone can read it. There's no smut.

No smut is in this story, this is completely just for those who imagine a life with the HS cast Khris is a boy who after seeing heartstopper realizes how many aspect of his life were never allowed by his abusive family so after a fight with his family and an attempt To end his life he jumps off a bridge an falls into an ocean. After waking up on a beach in the UK and finding himself in a bizarre situation with kit Connor and a group of the heartstopper cast he blooms a friendship with them.

Nick and Charlie decided to host a sleepover with the whole friend group. Turns out, the lovely couple couldn't fall sleep so they chose to do something to pass the time. This story has a detailed, smutty chapter but can be read without it. Although, it is most recommended to read the chapter so it makes more sense. I don't think I'm going to mention anything about school, but if I do it will be how school is done in the US not the UK. This story is about the characters NOT the actors. Please don't sexualize any of Heartstopper's actors thank you. I hope you enjoy my story!
