The THIRD addition to the Personal Memoir Poetry Collection series, "Home" is a tribute to anyone who is living in what they do not consider to be their home country, or are torn between two places, or two things. Being lonely and homesick, I have found my refuge within these words. The Personal Memoir Poetry Collections are each a collection of poems that highlight one special topic. They are of similar style, but may be read independently or in any order. The series currently consists of "Closer" (the oldest, with a blue cover and a hand), "crush" (pink cover and flowers), and "Home" (the newest, green cover and Vietnamese woman).

Sometimes I wish I had someone who went through exactly what I go through. That way I'd have someone who really, really, truly, actually understood. But I guess that's pretty impossible, and besides, I have people who are close to really, really, truly, actually understanding me. But my best companion has always been writing. I have written these poems, some very recently, and some a long, long time ago, but when I reread them I can almost feel what it was like (even though some of them are hopelessly cringy). I want to share these with you, because hopefully, they'll become your companion too. Hopefully, they can at least almost understand you, and hopefully they bring you the inspiration you need to keep it moving in life. Hopefully, they'll bring you closer to someone who really, really, truly, actually understands you. Because that would be amazing. - Mia Lê

The sister collection to Closer, "crush" highlights the wild feeling of falling in love, but not knowing if it's true enough. Based on real life, these poems complement the style of Closer perfectly, but can stand alone if one has not read the original collection. The original Closer is available on my profile. Its cover looks similar to that of crush, but is light blue and has a hand on it.
