Scar has been hiding under his Hotguy mask for a very long time, coming to be known as the best Super Hero ever. He builds up his reputation at night, but is just a normal everyday college kid by day. He has his own friend group, but has told no one of his secret identity. One night, he gets a tip about a villain getting ready for something, so he goes to investigate. Soon after arriving at the place he had been told the villain was hiding, he realizes he's been tricked. He was surrounded with no way out. That is when someone saves him, although Scar, at the time, Hotguy, is weary, as he has not worked with anyone before. But soon, he grows to really like his new side kick, maybe even developing a crush. Can he remain with his secret identity? Or will he give up his secrecy to be with the boy he likes? After a terrible tragedy that Grian blames himself for, he joins the Tournament for Death's mercy in an attempt to win the prize of a loved one brought back from the dead. During the first segment of the Tournament, he teams up with another contestant, one calling himself the Wizard. They can't seem to stop running into each other, and Grian tries his best to distance himself, knowing that only one of them can win, but that's much harder than it seems.

Scar is the number one hero and which he is in college, he has a best friend named Grian who is the number one villain but scar doesn't know. Doc and cleo are the ones who are helping scar figure out who "Watcher" (Grian) is, and Grian has Timmy and Mumbo who keeps his identity safe. I sat up, hearing my mother sing along to Taylor Swift downstairs. I saw my hand glitch for a second and something told me that what I experienced wasn't a dream. I was somehow...split in half. Cue, Scar an art teacher with a heart of gold and a reckless side who enjoys fighting crime with his partner Cute-Guy. After all, Scar was never one to live a normal life.

With only three lives, there's no room for mistakes. But when the soul bond ties Grian and Scar together, survival becomes even more complicated. Scar is reckless. Grian is... well, also reckless. And their three hearts feel like they're running out far too quickly. But somewhere between all of the near-death experiences and silly banter, Grian starts to wonder-if they only have one last life, shouldn't they make it count? After all, every heart beats its last eventually.
