After the death of his mother while studying in New York, Johan returned to Thailand-not out of desire, but out of duty. Though his parents had long been divorced, his father insisted Johan come stay with him. Still, the distance between them remained heavy. Their conversations were formal, strained. Even under the same roof, Johan felt alone.
Known for his cold heart, short temper, and quiet nature, Johan was difficult to approach. He was rich, handsome, and brilliant-but always detached. Even his childhood friends couldn't recall the last time they saw him smile. Now a third-year Business Administration student at Kasemrad International University, one of Bangkok's most prestigious institutions, Johan spent his days living by routine. Study. Maintain the image. Prepare to inherit his father's empire. That was his life. Predictable. Loveless. Silent.
Until he met North.
North was everything Johan wasn't. Talkative, impulsive, and always smiling. His reputation around campus was infamous- "the bully of bullies," always in trouble, always starting fights. But strangely, he was never hated. Protected by friends, admired by peers, and impossible to ignore, North lit up every room he entered. Even Johan, who preferred to be invisible, couldn't help but stare.
Especially when North smiled.
That smile made Johan forget how to breathe.
North wasn't rich, but he wasn't poor either. He earned a scholarship through sheer effort and perseverance. At home, he took care of his single mother and his older brother- South, who suffered from Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease and required constant hospital care. North carried more than anyone knew. And yet, he laughed louder than anyone on campus. Because for him, happiness can heal everything.
In each other, they found something rare-understanding.
Johan, for the first time, began to feel warmth again. Johan had never believed in fate, but he was starting to believe in North.
