The gamers have to steer their characters towards the final statue, plugging in a bright green gem, called the Jaguar's Eye, given by Nigel, and yell "Jumanji!" to escape this never-ending adventure. It was left abandoned in the school's basement, now too old to play. It had glitched and 'broke', leaving it unplayable. Now, 20 years later, a few unlikely high schoolers run across it, and are caught in its vines. The catch? They're not the only ones trapped in this game of madness. A group made up of close friends, unlikely allies, and complete strangers must now work together to survive jungle-filled challenges, wild animals, and puzzles that seem to have a mind of their own. But they're not just fighting to win - they're fighting to get out. Can they survive long enough to beat the game, or will they end up lost in the wilds of Jumanji forever?
