Eternal: (adj.) Lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning Athanasia never complained about her situation. She never felt like she had the right to. A random event leads her to befriend a small boy. A boy that she believed she would never see again. His situation was heartbreaking, she knew that there are others that are more unfortunate just like him. However, this one encounter changes everything she expected of herself, gave her freedom when the world only wants to swallow her up. --- "Why are you doing this? Why are you befriending me? Though we met five hundred years ago, why do you still bring me into your life? So much can happen in that many years but instead of staying with your friends or finding other things to do, you're with me. Why?" I ask again. Though I don't like being so forward, I can't help it. I'm scared to hurt him. He shifts his gaze to me. His hazel eyes gleam into my blue ones as if he knows something that I don't. "You're right. I had five hundred years, five hundred years to stay with my friends and five hundred years to find other hobbies." He pauses, taking in breath. "But I had five hundred years without you, we only had two weeks together. And those two weeks were the best I've ever had. That's why I want to continue them-with you, Athy." --- Disclaimer: All ACOTAR characters and plot belong to Sarah J. Maas. My characters and scenes are my own work.

"You taste like wine," she whispered, her voice playful but soft, her lips still close to mine. I chuckled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're not so innocent yourself." -- Aureva, a human baker, leads a quiet life in her small village, content in the simplicity of her daily routine. But lately, whispers have begun to reach her ears-rumors of powerful, evil fae stirring in the shadows, bringing unease to the edges of her peaceful world. Azriel, the shadowsinger of the Night Court, is no stranger to darkness. As spymaster, he has spent centuries gathering secrets and slipping through shadows, always one step ahead of danger. Yet now, something stirs in Hybern, a darkness even his shadows struggle to comprehend. In the heart of Hybern, a new power is rising, one that threatens the delicate equilibrium between worlds. Aureva finds herself caught in the center of this turmoil, unwittingly linked to the forces at play. As her path crosses with Azriel's, they become entangled in a web of secrets and shadows, forced to confront what lies beneath the surface of their worlds-and each other. azriel x Oc

When a golden light surrounded me I thought I had died. Well, died while reading my favorite book. But as it turns out I didn't pass into the world of the dead, but rather the world of dreamers. Landing in the middle of Velaris, I quickly found myself at the mercy of the Inner Circle, and one very pissy, very hot spymaster. (This is just a fun story that is in the works. I've never written fanfic before so some parts are silly and riddled with gen z jokes, while others are lyrical and deeper, and a Lil' spicy.)

It's colder then I remember it, dark as an abyss but I stop being afraid of the dark along time ago. Shadows curl around me and I allow myself the split second of hope. Allowing myself to wish for the male I can not have. His voice is a distant memory but also clear as day in this dark and musky hole. "We will be friends." His voice is relaxed but firm. Lulling me away into memories with his deep vibrato. "Friends?" I croak, confusion lacing my voice. "People who are nice to each other occasionally spend time together." Azriel deadpans. "I know what friends are." I snap back, not able to hold back the bite in my words. Some way to start a friendship. He chuckles despite my tone, the dark alluring sound wrapping around my spine. I look away from him. "Well, you don't seem to have any." I don't realize the tears have fallen until they have drenched my cheeks. I curl deeper into myself, wishing those memories wouldn't haunt me. I replay the moment over and over in my head. Weaving it into my very being, my sanity. With darkness threading around me I list all the reasons he couldn't love me. Even if I could get out of this hell, those memories are all I have. I wouldn't forgive me either.

After the war, Prince Dravorn returns from exile to claim Hybern's throne-not through conquest, but through diplomacy. To prove his intent, he frees Astris-sister to Rhysand-after centuries of captivity under his father's brutal rule. Yet her time in captivity left more than scars-Koschei, the ancient death-lord, touched her mind with whispers that still linger in the shadows of her thoughts. Stronger than ever, Astris returns to Velaris, her presence unsettling the Inner Circle and igniting an undeniable pull in Azriel, whose fate and heart are bound to hers. But as Koschei's influence grows beneath the Blackwater Veil and rebellion simmers within Hybern's borders, Astris must confront the dark tether still clinging to her soul-and choose between loyalty, passion, and the duty that could save-or doom-the world.
