This is the third book in the "Unapologetically Me" series. If you haven't read "Unapologetically Me" and "A Silenced Gift" please don't read this story until you've read them. This is a spin-off following one of Fatima's best friends, Chanel Henderson, on her journey to find "what's best for her." For Chanel, meeting Trey Songz was initially only supposed to be a fantasy. However, all of that changed from the moment they first laid eyes on each other. What was supposed to be the fulfillment of only one night of pleasure, turned into something more and at the same time nothing at all. And it lasted longer than either believed it would. While watching her two best friends, Fatima Ward and Autumn Allen, move on in more serious relationships, she decides that it's time she give being in a relationship a try. As much as she wishes it could be with Trey, she knows Trey can't give her more. What started between them was based on sex, it was never meant to be anything more but "fun." She tries to move on and find love with a "normal guy," but everywhere she turns, Trey is there. Will she follow her heart or do what makes the most sense? © 2017 D.S. Little All rights reserved. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and for these two, their lives have been planned down to a science. For Wylan Olson, being yourself can be very stressful. Since she was young, her emotions have always been backwards. The embodiment of 'tears of joy,' that laughs to keep from crying, not many people understand her struggle. Mostly because she barely understands it herself, but she's making it...barely. All she wants to do is make something out of herself, and she's willing to work for it. Kwame Okari has been raised to be perfect. His parents' strict expectations at son leave no room for friendships, which they regard as frivolous. Their only concern is for him to be Ivy League, and he cannot afford to disappoint. He is a boy on a mission, with a clear objective: be first. And there's only one person standing in his way-Wylan. As the two develop a better understanding of each other, competing agendas complicate their relationship forcing them to decide which is more important: attraction or ambition, satisfaction or success, friendship or fruition, and lead them to wonder if one has to be mitigated for the other.

Book 2 They say love is a hell of an addiction. More powerful than any drug, more dangerous than any force hatred is capable of. Love makes you blind, intoxicated and worse than anything else unbalanced beyond measure. Love is titling off the edge of a cliff, closed eyed and weight unleveled and blindly trusting your partner to save you every time without a flinch or second thought. Love is the connection, the rope that lies in your partners hand and keeps you from falling.. too deep or too far from beyond their reach. Love is the intimacy of knowing when to say when.. when to give up... when the rope has been pulled too many times, weakened far over repairing. Love is also the act of never letting go so once your partner pulls one last time, the rope strings apart and continues falling, you fall unapologetically right behind them. --- Chance and Devyn's love wasn't unexpected and neither was chaos that followed. Nothing in their lives has ever been expected yet now they strive to change that on a mission to vindicate or terminate any dangers or unknowns of their pasts. This is life or death for them, failure isn't an option. Demons from the past emerge, secrets began to unravel, lies are told, heads will roll, loyalties and promises will be broken, and the worst of their nightmares come true. No one said it would ever be easy. Welcome to The Fighter's Club: Survival of the Fittest.
