Sonic and his friends found an ancient black heart gem from the tomb chamber. They just thought it was an ancient artifact but when Sonic touches it, an unknown black entity enters his body. Sonic goes through different changes for days, the unknown entity takes control of his heart and his body.

With one final planet piece to be restored, Amy talks to her blue hero about his condition and tries to cheer him up that he will always be Sonic the Hedgehog. No matter what he looks at day or night. By day he's always the like wind that never gives up. By night he's like the wild animal that howls in the wind.

Sonic struggles with feeling like a failure from the war, and something is feeding off of it, but Amy Rose won't give up on him! Turning Sonic into something awful and feeding off of his negative emotions, could they defeat it together? Can anyone stay mad... at a kiss?
